But maybe I am wrong and stand to be corrected, I just fear making two changes in defense just like that. I think it makes us very vulnerable and not at our best. I would rather just Add Rudiger to replace Cahill [permanently] and keep Luiz in defense. I think we would be better off this way but again I could be wrong and stand to be corrected. I agree the line up looks stronger than Spurs and by no means are we underdogs!
August 18, 20178 yr Bakayoko is in contention to play due to a lack of options. Pedro trained today but still has pain in his ankle, likely to be on the bench if fit enough. Hazard's not in a condition for selection.

Some of the kids again?
August 18, 20178 yr Expecting absolutely f**k all from this game....but then again I said the same thing about the CL final and look how that turnt out...KTBFFH!!!

My guess on the line up Courtois Dave - Christensen - Rudiger Moses - Kante - Luiz - Alonso Willian Morata - Michy B Subs bench: Willy C, Tomori, Bakayoko, Pedro, Boga, Kenedy, Scott Basically we better pray no one gets injured during this one because we're looking paper thin at the moment.

Indeed. Look at the state of our bench. We're right on the precipice right now!

August 18, 20178 yr After reading back what i printed a couple of pages back , and read other offerings ive decided not to give up all hope on the spud match, because as we all know, football is a very fickle game..We ll produce when we shouldnt and lose when its ridiculous to think so..........Changed my mind...SPUDS AT WEMB HART LANE 1....SPUD LOATHERS 2.........and so say i

August 18, 20178 yr Conte said that he preferred SSB as a central defender so I expect Bakayoko to partner Kante in the midfield...
August 18, 20178 yr If we aren't sure about Bakayoko, then we should not play him. We still have a long season in front of us, important to keep our key players fit. We have to play him only if we're 100% sure he is fit.
August 18, 20178 yr As much as I'd like to win this game, it's certainly not worth risking Bakayoko and Hazard if there's any doubts at all. They are both absolutely integral this year, because we don't have anyone to adequately replace either of them. We're better off not having them for a few games, if we're going to get them fit and healthy for the rest of the season, even if it affects results short term.
August 18, 20178 yr Start with Christensen in the middle, he looked decent on the ball against Burnley. Then at half-time, hoping we'll have kept it to a draw, we then bring on Baka. I'm expecting one of Musonda/Boga to start too, Michy will be on the bench. If Conte's going all for the draw we could see tomori at RWB and Moses further up the wing. Will be fascinating
August 18, 20178 yr Mark Lawrenson BBC: "This is Tottenham's first Premier League game at Wembley but it will not be quite the test that people were expecting when the fixtures came out. I just think Chelsea are all over the place, as we saw against Burnley last week. They are without suspended duo Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas after their red cards against the Clarets and Eden Hazard is not ready to return from injury yet. Pedro and Tiemoue Bakayoko are also injured and there is no end in sight to the Diego Costa saga either, with the striker still in Brazil. The situation with him is just absurd. So I am going to go for a Spurs win - if I am right, then Chelsea really are in crisis, aren't they? Tottenham 2-0 Chelsea
August 18, 20178 yr Can't see us winning the game, but I'd love it more than usual if we do, it will shut the media up for a while and they're doing my head in with their biased crap at the moment.
August 18, 20178 yr I think we will sneak a win . Backs against the wall trench warfare like mentality sometimes brings the best out in teams
August 18, 20178 yr Telling how genuinely Conte laughed when they talked about Costa. Also, i don't expect us to win this, but I'd also say that if we start off with 2 losses, it's not a crisis.
August 18, 20178 yr Also telling that he asked for another question when asked is letting Ruben and Chalobah go was a mistake
August 18, 20178 yr Any more news on unsold tickets? Adverts on the tube, radio stations. I heard 20,000 unsold, is this true?
August 18, 20178 yr Courtois Azpi Luiz Christensen/Rudiger Alonso Kante Moses. Willian Boga/Pedro Morata Basthuayi I really hope we see something like this tomorrow. We will be very solid defensively, and we will have enough energy in mid to match Dembele Dier and Davies. The front 3 will keep the spurs defenders in check as well.
