Scoreline is not an accurate reflection of the game though. Stoke have been the better team.

You are joking ? are you a spud in disguise ? have you got a shrine in your house dedicated to the GOD of Possession ?

How are you a moderator? I'm voicing my opinion. Wind your neck in.

I've big upped Bakayoko....but this has been an off game for him.

As long as we win today, I'm happy.

We have actually been quite poor, but we lead at half time and that is what matters the most.

Azpilicueta has been fantastic, his positioning has been the difference for me. If it wasn't for him, i think we would have conceded by now.

Good match so far, considering they did United and Arsenal here we've neutralised their threat while taking our chances. Cesc and Hazard can kill this for us in the second half

Seems we have plenty on here who have forgotten that, all in their quest to get their magic boy on the pitch me thinks.

Its supporters like you that make me cringe, 0-2 away and you seem to think Conte has got it wrong.

To be fair the scoreline doesn't really reflect the game, we probably created only 1 genuine chance yet scored 2 goals, if we dawdle we could f**k it up.

Why leave it when we have the chance to fist them?

Hahaha, brave

Coco is a ShedEnd institution

Decent half but feel we have been outmuscled in midfield somewhat. Moses can't get in the game and Alonso has been woeful...still happy with the scoreline, lets hope we don't give nothing away the 2nd half to give Stoke any hope of a getting anything from this game.

Pretty much every other person has said in this thread that our ball in the final third has been sh*te. Pedro and Willian, and Moses, are giving the ball away, ALOT. This is nothing to do with Conte. This is down to individual performances. Stoke are pressing high, we need an outlet and Fabregas is exactly the player who will exploit that kind of space. Try watching the game and forming your opinions instead of just looking at the scoreline and jerking one off, mmkay?

Strange half really. I thought we were terrible with the ball for the 1st half an hour, but we were 2 nil up!

Clinical finishing at one end, and pretty solid at the other end.

Need to keep them at arms length and capitalize on any errors or counters, and it should be a comfortable afternoon.

stoke really haven't done much in attack to pose a threat to us. it's a decent performance considering it's at stoke. i think if fabregas was playing we could be leading by more.

Definately. How's the weather up there on Nibiru btw?

supposed to be 40C with the humidity today and tomorrow....I'll take that:biggrin:

Anyways, thoughts on the game....

We haven't been great, once again the wingbacks and the two players either side of Morata (Willian and Pedro) have been underwhelming. But we've taken our chances and looking good for an easy day

Back 3 have all been solid but I hope all the defenders are a little more adventurous in the pass 2nd half. Luiz would have been much more willing to make the long diagonal

it does reflect the game though. we capitalised on their poor defensive decision, so credit needs to go to our player/s for capitalising on it. stoke have done nothing in attack to say they could be beating or even have scored; we have been solid as you can be in defence. can't really ask much more of the players, barring a bit smarter passing within the final third

We are struggling on the left and we can't seem to turn defence into attack.

Theres this little belgian fella plays ok on the left, might see him in 25 minutes or so

Well I knew it would be a tough game but we give the ball away too much. Just keep hold of the ball Willian/Moses/Bakayoko please, they will score if you keep losing the ball in your own half. Good shape and positioning has helped us but we need to retain possession in our own half better.

Thanks for reminding me about Musonda

I think its been a good performance. We scored early and dont mind conceding the possession to hit them on the counter. If needed, we can up a gear or 2. Also, just because we are willing to concede the possession, it does not mean we have been poor. Stoke have barely troubled us.

Happy with what I have seen so far.

Why are they booing Moses?

Moses used to play on loan for Stoke, remember?

Good half defensively. Offensively we haven't been at our best despite the two goals however, the movement and build up to the Morata goal was class. Definitely needs more of that.

Bakayoko if he continues to improve will be a great player, a pity that every opponent he faces falls every time he touches them.

Fabregas on the touchline near the Stoke's final third barking orders? lol
