Your unpopular opinion about Chelsea

I think the chants and songs sung by Chelsea fans are boring and unimaginative.

Only Fabregas and Willian have actually interesting songs and those are overplayed as a result.

I think this about every clubs chants. Just listen to Tottenham and Southampton's lot singing 'when the saints/spurs go matching in'.......it's by far the worst the of the lot.

That's true. Although a lot of ours are just one word chants.

"Chelsea! Chelsea! Chelsea! Chelsea! x10"

"Antonio, Antonio, Antonio, Antonio, Antonion x4"

Super, super Frank. Super, super Frank. Super, super Frank. Super Frankie Lampard. x3"

"Eden! Eden! Eden! Eden! Eden! Eden! Eden Hazard! x2"

They get boring after a while. I do like the Dennis Wise song however.

And every chant is totally tuneless now, is it a macho thing? " Ha! you sung an actual note......GAY!"

He already is, isn't he?

He's not Chelsea's greatest ever player. Not at all. Think that would be quiet obvouis. Wouldn't even say he's Chelsea best attacking player ever.

As far as the greatest ever Chelsea players - Zola, Drogba, Lamps and Terry are the top 4. Probably go with 4. Zola.  3. Drogba.  2. Lampard.  1. Terry.

The fact that more songs are sung in support of Conte, whose whinging has taken the piss all season, than the players...I've not forgotten he won us title last year but he's been piss poor in a number of aspects this season.

I'd put in Ossie, Ron Harris, Kerry Dixon and Wisey in that list if it was a top 10. Not on ability but what they did at certain times in our history, but your top 4, I can't argue with.

Agreed. Wisey was actually a lot better footballer than he was given credit for.

There's a big difference in listing a top 10 Chelsea players as opposed to who are actually the best footballers.

The likes of JT, Drogs, Lamps are club legends and huge personalities but none of them can come close to what Hazard can do with a football and they'd all be the first to admit it. Hazard is a better natural footballer than all of them and as for Wisey, again great for what he did at Chelsea but you wouldn't find the likes of Real Madrid looking to sign him!!

Oscar had more than one good game for us.

Yep, I remember both of his good games.

I think he got more than two man of the match awards when playing for us.

Just did a bit of number crunching vs Willian and comes out close.

Oscar scores 25.85% compared to full matches

Willian scores 26.11% compared to full matches.

Hazard scores in 35.80% compared to full matches.

John Terry is an unbelievable footballer, never mind a world class defender. Lampard is a once in a lifetime midfielder. Zola did things Hazard couldn't do, and vice versa. Drogba one of the most complete strikers the EPL, or even the works has ever seen. Hazard is behind those players by a distance. JT and Lampard are 1-2 and it's not even close between the rest. What those two did at this club was unreal. You watch some clips of them now and you praise the lord they played for Chelsea. If Hazard and produce another 2 seasons of dominance he'd be in the chat, but still not in the top 3 or 4. He's a top player, but he's not great. In the world right now there are a whole load of players on his level. Look at the EPL right now. Man are there sone attacking quality on show. Back in the day Chelsea could genuinely say they had the best defender, midfielder and striker in the league, maybe even the world.

I first noticed him at Wimbledon where he was more of a winger/ wide midfielder.

He was a superb crosser of the ball with either feet which is pretty rare.

I met him once and he struck me as a tough little sod with crazy eyes.

Yes great crosser, up until the glory years and JT, he was our most successful captain, I believe when we had the first foreign invasion of players he was great at keeping them in check and keeping a great team spirit, he was the right person at the right time.

Like Lamps, Wisey was a bit of a slow starter at Chelsea. Can remember watching him for Wimbledon and then we signed him I was really excited as I was hoping he might be our new Pat Nevin but then being really disappointed as he rarely seemed to go past his man in those early days. But as you say, like JT, Wisey wasn't just about the player, but the captain and his influence on the team and another example of a player hated by rival fans!!

If I had a list of CFC legends, then without doubt that list would be headed by JT, Lamps, Drogba & Cech. Not just because they were brilliant for us but they were the spine of our most successful team and were with us for a long time.

But if I was making a list of the best footballers I have ever seen play for Chelsea, then Hazard would be top of the list. I guess it's subjective to whatever "floats your boat", but what Hazard can do with a football at his feet, very few can do at the top level.

Ah, you've already forgotten about Jokanovic haven't you....the things he could do with a football.....

It was him who named Zola Red Rum owing to his big teeth. One of those strong personalities that every dressing room needs, of which we are probably lacking right now.

I recall Wise being very important for us in the early 90's his penalties got us away wins at both Anfield and Old Trafford. With Anfield our first win there in over 20years.

I was at both and his self confidence was amazing.

I recall he played for England briefly even scoring.

I didn't suggest he was our greatest ever player, but he has to be in the discussion, in my mind. Difficult to disagree with your list, Zola was my childhood idol, but I think Haz is close to him, or perhaps even better, just my opinion.

Best footballers and greatest ever is different. Zola, Robben and Hazard would be in a straight fight for that.

Yeah I hear you sir. Still think JT, Drog, Lamps and Zola head the pack.
