There is no way the club will send him on loan for two seasons. Sure, the club can do what they want but this isn't like Mount or Ampadu or Abraham or any other countless youngsters that have gone on loan. This is a player we have already nearly lost and Bayern Munich were willing to fork out millions to sign. If we even think of sending him out on loan now, that will be a sign to the player and other clubs we are not convinced and he will be history as a CFC player.

I know we are signing quality, but with Pedro and Willian going, there will still be enough chances for him to get playing time and hopefully next season he will grab the mantle and show us all what we know he is capable of.

Fair enough... What he’s said is pure hyperbole, stating she was a hooker is completely false and based on nothing, the only reports were they met on Instagram and some have said glamour model. Which by definition does not equate to a hooker.

Yes, I’m sure all the 19 year olds in the U.K. were sticking to lockdown rules while senior government officials drove across country while sick. Alas, I’m not going to drag politics in to it - that’s for another thread. Suffice to say, I think you have an agenda against CHO & I don’t think anything I or anyone else can say will change that.

The concern I had with your post was, 

He also needs to hang out with the right kind of people.

That felt a bit racially motivated a statement. I apologise if it wasn't.

What he did wrong was completely on him. Nothing to do with the kind of people he hangs around with.

Oh ffs leave out this agenda bollocks!  All i've ever said against him is that SO FAR he hasn't overly impressed me and been a bit overhyped. Look back at my recent comments and you'll se i'm one who wants to give him time to pove himself at Chelsea and not ship him out on loan.

Players of all races/colours have hung out with the wrong people and seen it have a negative effect on their careers. 

Callum is 19yrs old - it was a stupid error in judgement calling a br@ss round  to his place in the early hours of the morning, but as he'd already had the virus so most likely immune he probably thought the risk was minimal (of catching it or spreading it). 

He's looked sharp off the bench in the last 2 matches, excited to see more of him soon.

He didnt even imply that CHO wasnt working hard enough in training. He gave a generic answer. He has said the same thing about every player he has been asked about "work hard in training, take your chances when they come". 

Obviously you will look for a negative in that statement, because it fits your opinion. 

The facts are CHO at 19, has worked himself into the starting 11 of the 3rd best team in the country twice under 2 different managers, only to have his progress halted by injury. The fact he keeps getting back in says more about how his attitude and how he trains, than a generic response thrown away by lampard. 

 

 

Actually, he did say that. Let's not rewrite history here. CHO wasn't playing, Frank was asked about it and that's exactly what he said. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

He does not say he wasnt working hard enough though does he. He just says he needs to work hard in training and take his opportunities when they come. Its the same for everyone. Its been the same message all season. 

Work hard in training, make an impact in the pitch.

I don't think he has an attitude problem, I've not seen that. I just thought he lacked the RIGHT attitude when he came on against United. Nothing to get too concerned with, it stems from immaturity. But I do think Pulisic is a lot more mature than CHO is, although he is 2 years older so that's reasonable. 

That was my only issue with him. He looked good going forward, he always does, that's why I highly rate him.

What is he supposed to say, call his own player lazy in a public Q&A? It's a diplomatic answer but you don't have to be a genius to figure it out. What do you think 'he needs to work hard daily' means?

And he didn't use it for everyone, he didn't say that about Ruben, for example. He specifically mentioned Callum.

CHO is out of favour with the chelsea boss...sounds like Frank wants him to work harder in training and then when given 10-15 minutes make an impact other than giving away a cheap penalty.

@abramovich already stated that it is not everybodies gerneric answer, it was for Odoi and further he said "he really needs to work hard daily...".

If you still think that means nothing well then its all good i guess.

I'm sure Jody Morris could sit down with Callum and advise him on things NOT to do if he wants to have a successful career in football.
