Don't blame Hazard for wanting to go.

Not entirely sure why there's such a negative reaction to a lack of a centre forward considering a) how well the team acquitted themselves against Barca with this exact setup, and b) Morata's recent form (world class fannying around).

 

Personally I am more terrified of the lack of Kanté. I would think that our only chance of getting anything out of this is to make the match as end-to-end and mental as possible and hope we somehow draw 4-4. Either way, my nerves are going to need some whisky for this one...

It appears Pedro is at top of the front three rather than Hazard.

I like your optimism Val but based on the team sheet I''m not holding my breath.

Probably the negativity has something to do with the thrashings by Bournemouth and Watford when the false number nine system was deployed!

Barc vs Atletico is on might be less painful to watch

It all depends what he wants to leave for....wherever he goes there is no guarantee of winning anything especially the Champions League, he has as much chance here as any where of lifting trophies especially if the club buy some decent players next year.

I see your point, but I daresay that Man City at peak Guardiola have more in common with Barcelona than Bournemouth and Watford.

Citehs defence will not like the look of our attack. They would of managed Morata or Giroud, but the three whippets take some pinning down.

Agree.  I was very tempted to stay at home but I'm being a big girl and trudging over to the pub to watch it.  Ah well, at least there will be beer and I don't think there are any city fans in there - last week it was full of United fans.
