I'll be amazed but overjoyed if we overcome the absence of both Kante and a proper No9 and get a result today. Not at all confident, sadly, but then I never am.

Hope we play better against a team with high backline again here. I don't think ManU game was any kind of indicator for this one. Barcelona is a better match. I see draw is our best possible result here.

well haz did say after last game he plays best on left, morata like having 10 men but why not Giroud? I suppose same game plan as Barca speed on the counter  

Wasnt one of the reasons Giroud left Arsenal was to get game time so he makes the French WC squad?

I am confused. Seems he doesn’t rate any of his forwards.

Thing is we lose by a narrow margin, and this is seen as a moral victory by him. Looking forward to him whining about transfer post match.

I don't even know why we bothered signing Giroud, what is the point when the manager has as much faith in him as he did Batshuayi? This will be another game where Hazard struggles to have any impact. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but we have seen it more often than not when we have gone with a false 9.

There back 4 are nothing special, key here was stop play in the mid field, cant see how drinkwater and fab wll do that. Kante seems to have a bug not an injury so good news.

A few minutes in, and the false 9 is already failing. The ball goes long and City are straight back on the ball because we have nobody up there that can win it for us.
