We are trying to qualify to play in a competition next season and compete against Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern etc. We are currently failing to qualify for this because we are drawing with f**king Uddersfield through a rebound off our players face which technically was only our third shot on target. How on earth will Messi, Ronaldo, etc sleep tonight? Liverpool were sh*te last season, now they are in the Champions League final. A lot can change in a season. I would pick being in it over not being in it no matter how poor we are. Also, playing in the Champions League attracts the best players and keeps your best players at the club.
May 9, 20188 yr eye of the needle stuff around the box is driving me crazy - we've Giroud on get wide and swing the crosses in

Well considering Liverpool and spurs got into the later stages then why not? Madrid and Barca are no great shakes, Roma battered Barca and they are average while any half decent attacking team would have a field day with Reals defending,

That's because the Spanish clubs, Bayern, and juventus have been poor this season.

Real are rumoured to be interested in Neymar and Allison of Roma. God knows who else they will buy. You gotta think Bayern will sign some players and Juventus maybe too.

May 9, 20188 yr Surely Barkley deserves some mins, bring him on for Willian. Been sitting on the bench for ages now.
May 9, 20188 yr There are positives to been in the Europa League: - it’s another avenue to qualify for the CL the following season - we may actually have a platform for the youth to come through. I seem to remember Spurs playing their star striker Kane in it when he wasn’t fancied in the first team for what they deemed important matches - it’s a trophy, I’d take winning the EL over 2-4th any day (admittedly it’s not that easy to win though) It does have its disadvantages too mind but just a few positives there.

May 9, 20188 yr We can still win the last game and if Pool lose we still go through btw, not over today unless we lose

Liverpool don't even miss him as Salah is twice the player he ever was. Liverpool, City, United Spurs and ourselves will all improve with far more funds available than any Spanish team so I don't quite get the impression we should be fearful of a far weaker set of teams than in previous years:
