Anyone think that City support is embarrassing and doesn't deserve the team they have? You could barely hear them today on tv or last Sunday during the Community Shield. And how many thousands seats did they not sell? Like a half of their upper tiers were completely empty in Wembley.

Every time I think of City fans these days, I think of last season when they cried because they couldn't beat United which would have won them the title. It was pathetic, there were even fans saying the gloss had been taken off their achievements that season because of that defeat. They deserved a smack over the head for their reaction that day. They were still going to win the title. They just came across as spoilt, entitled, glory hunting, babies.

On top of that they really genuinely believe that their revenu and sponsorships are all legit........they really do think they are this mega power and pride themselves that they are above Chels etc and very close to utd.........what foolery, empty vessels just like their support at games.

I despise all this theorising about Liverpool or City winning the league, Arsenal missing out on top four, us and Utd/Spurs fighting for top four or whatever. We really don't know. All it takes is Liverpool to lose one or two key players through injury and then they will could easily struggle. After one game it's crazy how tizzy the English media gets about the league winners. How many games is there over the season, including the PL? About 50+ so it's pointless to speculate what they will or won't do. When did it start becoming normal to be confident who will win the league after one or two games into the new season? Lol absolute ridiculous.

Yeah its absolutley silly.........and they do it every f**king season. One of the reasons I loved conte's first season, they went on and on how pep and jose will fight it out and that Manchester will rule for years and years........silly cows them Eng media.

I saw something in the media today about half of premier clubs would still make a fortune playing behind closed doors.

I thought about it for a second then thought no that would not work, firstly fans love to watch not just for the team yet also for the crowd atmosphere. When the crowd are there it seems important and not only that players sense the crowd and hence the expression big game players. What would happen to the big game players in empty stadiums.

media racism behind stirling criticism????

i think this is a rubbish claim from wrighty and i also thought the media criticism only really started after he left liverpool ?

I think so too, if Sterling could put the chances away he would be idolised yet it he doesn't do it nearly enough.

Of course you will always get the odd racist that detest people of colour though I also think most people do not see the work rate he applies during the game.

Tbf I saw a list compiled on reddit and they write articles bashing him for a lot of arbitrary sh*t. Remember how ape sh*t they went over his tattoo? Similar to how Terry got treated by media. Even if it isn't 'racism' they definitely don't hold back on the sh*t they sling at him.

What an idiot Ian Wright is. Has he already forgotten the stick Rooney and Beckham used to get? They had it worse than Sterling. When a player under performs for England (in Sterling's case, he has never performed well for England) then they will get ripped apart by the media over here. It's got nothing to do with the colour of their skin.

Agree with Scott too and re Rooney, the image we had was a regular brothel user and pictures of him with family members on the beach showing them in a less than favourable light.

I doubt those family members gave the press any permission to use the photos for me they just think he is an easy target to mock.

In today's episode of "Seriously, what in the actual f**king f**k", it has been announced that next Tuesday Neville Southall will be giving his twitter account to the nappy fetish community. Yes, really.

I dunno if it's entirely based on that, but I do feel there's some strange obsession with black players in Europe, especially in England. Notice pundits, commentators and journalists always have to mention something about physicality and rarely about their skillset.
