With mount and Kai being so anonymous I understand the argument to try something else...

...Unfortunately history has shown the Puli is unlikely to be the answer. A step away from Freddy Adu.

Come on now, I started watching American soccer league in the early 2000's mostly because of Freddy Adu.

His move to Benfica got me all excited. What a waste of talent and potentials.

I would throw him into the next game, what's there to lose, him to be worse off than what we had in the last 3 games? It's not like we are going to sign a better replacement this summer, make use of what you got, that's the f* manager's job.

I would go beyond that and also throw CHO and Ziyech in there as well.

Obviously your current front 3 produce ZERO goals in 270 minutes. What's there to lose?

Ah do we have to have the Pulisic thread filled up with bile even for a match that was mentalilly lost long before he came on?

Today's result and performance have nothing to do with him or Ziyech FFS!

Spot on.

Though, I have to agree, parents really need to stay out of their son/daughter's business. It does not make it any better for the kids.

Out of curiosity do you stain the forums of every club that has American players or do you only fanboy over Pulisic?  You clearly don't like the club and Leeds have American players who are actually good enough to play for them so they seem a better fit for you.

You are right though we've got a lot of issues to work out in the market these next 2 weeks and in the squad itself.

But what we absolutely don't need is the father and agent of the worst player at the club endorsing attacks at players and the manager.  Imagine if Kepa/Drinkwater/Bakayoko or Barkleys families all spouted off at the club every time they didn't play a game.  Only 11 players can start a game and there's 25 senior players in every squad, should we expect the other 14s parents to be criticising the starters and manager every week?

I get where Marks coming from though, he's watched his untalented son be talked up as a superstar in his national media because of his sons performances against under 14 Honduran reserves it must be hard to accept that he just isn't remotely special or notable at this level.

You'd think the penny would have dropped by now given he's also his agent and we can't get a single offer for Pulisic despite being open to moving him on all summer.

He's deffo shagged your Mrs or something hasn't he?

Hilarious watching someone hate someone so much for absolutely zero credible reason when they don't even know you exist. Put the phone down, go see some friends (if you have any) and just enjoy your week. This level obsession isn't healthy for anyone.

Hazaradous does have a point though ...

Yesterday's ratings and who is the lowest ranked outfield player ? Zero contribution in half an hour on the pitch ? No shots, no key passes, gave the ball away 25% of the time (only Ziyech was worse than that, so maybe Hazardous has a point there too LOL, albeit Ziyech did actually make a contribution with a couple of key passes and a couple of shots).

Haha. My son is a semi pro, got very close to getting a pro deal. Anyone we'd been to a game and the oppositon manager was a bellend all game. Anyway he tweeted something, not about my lad, but in general about the team. Snidey and bollox. Anyway i had a nibble at him on twitter as well.

Fck me did i get a shoeing off my lad. Kicked off massively, banned me from his games for about 6 months. he said it was relentless in the dressing room for about two weeks solid. Haha. never again.

Somehow i can't see Christian steaming into the old man, keep you bleeding opinions to yourself you busy old tw@t. Suppose not.

You son sounds like he'd have made a model pro. It's just basic professionalism you'd expect from every player and their families.

Don't publically criticise team mates and staff at the club it's embarrassing.

More so for Christian than anyone, he has to face his team mates and his coaches on the training pitch and his Dad hasn't helped him here.

You've got to admire the deludedness of the man though endorsing tweets saying Drop Havertz and Mount and Pulisic will guarantee great football and goals like his son doesn't have 44 goals and 25 assists in 245 club games 🤣

Sterling is supposed to be our star player and yet his rating is 0.18 higher in comparison to Pulisic, despite the fact that he played almost 90 minutes.

If we assume that Pulisic isn't happy in this role as a sub, Sterling is looking like he's already regretting being a part of the squad. Tuchel will be in trouble if none of our attackers starts firing.

I just don't understand Tuchel's hesitancy to use Pulisic when the other attackers aren't offering anything. For someone that seems obsessed with stats someone should remind him pulisic still has the best g/a per 90 compared to all our forwards

Pulisic haven't exactly made a strong case himself to start, but after the next game and the front 3 are still unable to produce; then there's absolutely no reasons for TT not to make some changes and give other attackers a chance. Whether that be Pulisic, Ziyech, CHO, or the orange/green man.

Agree.  That's where Tammy lost my support.

Tuchel was in my opinion being silly and a bit shallow for not giving him more of a chance than he did but instead as we have come to discover, prefers his square pegs in round holes a la playing players out of positions that limits their key attributes from shining through.

The only thing more silly was his girlfriend trying to berate the manager for not selecting him in games and cup final.  Yes we were all thinking her words but she is too close to the squad for her to know that such opinions could be perceived as receiving her man's tacit approval for putting it out there.

Family and partners should just mind their business and don't try to pick the team or question the clubs choices.

Another person I've started noticing always wants to have an opinion is Thiago Silva's wife. Damn.  Just support your husbands career by making sure he's focussed, in good health, eating well and not stressed at home.

Todd has turned down CPs request to leave on loan for regular game time. From Sky sports:

"

Pulisic disappointed as Chelsea block exit

Christian Pulisic is set to stay at Chelsea this season despite interest from Manchester United and Newcastle, according to The Athletic.

Pulisic’s contract with Chelsea runs for another two years and he was willing to extend it in order to make a loan move more palatable for Chelsea.

The American star spoke with Chelsea ownership about his desire to find a place where he can play more consistently but new American owner Todd Boehly decided against allowing a loan move, said a source.

Pulisic is understood to be disappointed with the decision, especially in light of Callum Hudson-Odoi's imminent move to Bayer Leverkusen on loan."

@USATim and @HazardousChoice you both have your own reasons for wanting CP to leave, can you set aside your differences to work for his and the common good?

A loan doesn’t do anyone any good, maybe he’s turning it down due to poor terms with buy-options, he’s got 2 years left.. at this stage it just needs to be a straight sale. A loan makes sense for CHO but not Pulisic.

I think it's a sensitive move to keep him. He got a season to prove himself, and the WC is also an opportunity. If he plays well, either a real bid for him, or he earns himself another extension. There are no immediate replacements coming in, how is Gordon going to be better than him it's anyone's guess.

We can’t start a season with 3 senior attacking options.. this would be madness.. pulisic seems closest to sterling in the sense he likes to arrive late and take on his man.. he will see plenty of game time.. don’t understand this request.

If it was a sale, then it would have been a different story.

A loan just does not make any sense. Chelsea will need bench depth in the attack, especially with CHO gone and Ziyech probably on his way out.

#FreePuli. 😃

I can understand the concerns of both the player and the team. He probably doesn’t have a great relationship with the manager and doesn’t fit the system that well. He’s a confidence player and needs a run of games to build a relationship with new teammates. He probably won’t get that unless someone gets injured.

The team can’t clear out most of the attacking squad until replacements are found and that may not happen this window. He should get a reasonable amount of playing time this fall with CL and WC games coming. Perhaps his future will be settled in January.

You'd think that with the number of attackers that have left already, those still here would be licking their lips at the thought of cementing a place in the starting XI, not making noise about loans to other clubs.

I have a hard time buying the idea United or Newcastle would want Pulisic anyway.  There's the commerical side of course but he doesn't start for either and he wouldn't even get off the bench at United who have 4 much more talented Wingers.

Infact both Newcastle and Manchester United were seemingly so horrified at being linked with Pulisic on loan they've both gone out and spent 70+ million on new attacking options.

I honestly think we're just protecting the player because no one actually wants him with his current wages.  He's in the Kepa/Drinkwater category.  He may want to go and we're happy to move him on but finding a club that can take on his 150K a week salary who he'd get game time for isn't easy.

Given the state of our forward options we're probably the only champions league club in a major league he'd get minutes at at all.

So much hate for a player who has to contend with 5 mins at the end of every game, whilst the current forwards dont perform. If he got a run he would of got a few goals. He links up particularly well with havertz
