Christian Pulisic - Official

It's totally naive to think Pulisic was bought solely for shirt sales in the States but there is an element of truth in it. I was Christmas shopping in Wembley a couple of years ago I completely forgot that Spurs were playing the amount of South Koreans or Anglo SK's was remarkable that is wholly down to the Son effect.

This has been shown to be wrong hasnt it, clubs dont make that much money from shirt sales for individual players as the makers (adidas, nike etc) pay the club a set amount as a licensing deal to be able to make and sell them, they make the money, not the club.

Which is why Chelsea and other clubs can't produce proper retro shirts. Up to about 2007 you could get an Umbro retro home shirt in the megastore but the company not the club has all the intellectual properties they made the kit using the club badge that's basically it.

Probably not a coincidence that the media heavily reported United were no longer the most supported team in the States last week and now the glazers want to sign the PR tool.

Really surprised they weren't linked with him under Ed Woodward he's the typical United signing but I'm not sure why he'd want to be benched by Sancho again.

Also not sure how people don't understand how shirt sales work.  Adidas/Nike make the majority of the money from the individual units sold but the value of the fixed contracts they offer each individual club and the value of the contracts shirt sponsors like Three and Whalefin offer us is based entirely on how many shirts they expect the club to sell that's why having marketable players increases club revenue.

Why would we be loaning anyone to United, a potential top 4 rival? United are one of the richest sides in the world, sell him if he is going to them.

Pulisic playing for a competitor. What is the negative issue here?

If he were to become Agent Pulisic, as can be expected from his mediocrity, I'd be all for it.

Sell + sign Cristiano.
Give number 9 to Cristiano, after some seconds have passed, give number 10 to De Jong.

De Jong would probably want Chilwell's #21, as 21 is what he has worn at both Ajax and Barcelona.

If Alonso is leaving ... no problem ... Chilwell takes the #3 (historically at most clubs the shirt of the first choice left back, so some kudos attached to it, which should appeal to him), leaving #21 free for De Jong.

Final Season Showtime GIF by Shameless

Apparently his preference is to join US team mate McKennie at Juve but their interest is not as strong as United or Newcastle.

A loan for a year would leave one further season on CPs contract after.

When Chiesa comes back he's not going to play much in Juve though...

Probably.

I mean it goes to show the issue we have with average players on big wages. We have been open to loan or selling Pulisic,  CHO and Ziyech since we could start buying and selling again yet no one is willing to cover their wages and pay a loan fee, or buy them out right.

That is just the attacking side too. Todd and Co inherited a squad bloated with average or mediocre players on huge money that are near impossible to shift.

So much so we could only loan Lukaku and get less than half our money on Werner.

Some rumours that United are interested in loaning him. We shouldn’t be helping them out but I would happily sell him.

There was a time when if Man Utd were enquiring after our players you started thinking we should be doing all we can to hold onto him.

But looking at that sh*t show of a squad they currently have, Pulicic should fit right in. Any room for a couple more....................?

United can apparently afford to bid 130mill for J. Felix so they should be able to afford to buy Ziyech and Pulisic.

If we get rid of Ziyech and loan out CHO, I'd rotate him with Mount and Sterling. Havertz I can see dropping out of the starting 11 soon, cos he just does nothing.

As a yank, I was very excited when CP signs for Chelsea (a top club and trophies winning team).

It's kind of sad to see his time coming to an end at CFC. His first 12-18 months with the club, under Lampard, was quite promising.

I guess he had become surplus at Chelsea, and he's still very young and need to play regularly. I assumed it's best for both parties to part ways, as long as he does it respectfully with the club and fans;  which I believe he will. He has always been a decent guy.

So, after Man U takes CP off your hands I would expect the general sentiment here to be euphoria. Remember, you hate Pulisic, think he sucks, is not PL level, and is only here to sell merchandise and Chelsea to Americans. Don't ever forget that sentiment, those thoughts, those feelings. Ever.

Rumours says the club doesn't want him going to a rival unless it's a full transfer

Better for all parties that way.
