In sh*t times,  this made me smile. Characters like this are for me what football is about, both on the field and the terraces

I like that the person who finds ol’ Bill Blood the funniest is himself.

All this Glazers 2.0 talk. Utd have spent MASSIVE amounts of money under the Glazers however, many have been flops. Under Roman we've spent a huge amount of money on flops also. There is serious room for improvement and as long as we keep buying enough talent to challenge, we should be okay.

There is more than just money spent.

There’s propaganda and spin. Like under Ole, they stuck with him for so long even when losing to Pool 4-0 until it was untenable against Watford 4-1 loss).

They did big signings but useless ones. United didn’t need Ronaldo and Cavani but got them.

They got these players for shirt sales and merchandise.

Bums like Harry Maguire gets picked every time because they spent £80m and they don’t want him gone to waste.

Big wages for Phil Jones, Rashford, AWB etc. making them hard to ship off.

We do not want a Glazers 2.0. Otherwise we are finished as a football club and we will be run as a business/brand.

We do indeed not want Glazers 2.0 but let's be fair we are guiltily of many of these offenses under Roman.

We stuck with Jose with rotten results until we were near relgation places.

We signed Lukaku who we did not need and was so an overpriced bum.

We give big wages to the likes of Kepa, Werner, Alonso and are stuck with them.

BWG have won the hearts of the media, most pushing for them. So makes you wonder, given our media hates us, if either they have been paid off or promised BWG will run us in to the ground.

I’ll not be surprised if BWG paid these media outlets for positivity. I can definitely see Goldstein doing this.

Glazers do this all the time. That’s why it’s hard for the media to go against the Glazers.

Yes Roman made mistakes but if he could - tried to fix them.

Like if we didn’t get Mendy and stuck with Kepa as #1, you make a super fair point.

Drunkwater, relegated him to the under teams, and got a replacement.

As for Mourinho, that was difficult to sack because of his history with us AND we just won the title with him. But yes Roman shouldn’t have waited until mid-Dec to sack him.

No one is going to make a £3bn investment and run said investment into the ground. And get millions of angry supporters on the back around the world on top of that.

So paid off the media it is then. Maybe they can carry on doing so so we are not getting such bile spewed at us each article.

Lol. Look at Man United fans. They hate the Glazers but doing nothing about it apart from small protests there and there.

I want to trust these Chelsea fans I really do. But what if we are just like the United supporters? That wouldn’t be enough to push out BWG. Goldstein would probably in fact love it.

They wanted to be patient with their manager just like Arsenal have been with Artera when they could've sacked him 4 months ago and no one would've disputed that.

The signing examples you use sound so similar to ours. Making big signings we haven't needed. Splashing cash on players who flop and using them so their value doesn't drop.

Big wages for RLC and Cho.

We aren't much different other than we managed cup success.

Actually you maybe right. The most obvious one for me actually is appointing Lampard.

I was one of the few who was strongly against the appointment because he had zero experience. Getting 4th on the final day of the season isn’t a trophy.

That was the moment I thought we are going to copy United with Ole. There were shades like that in Chelsea I can’t lie.

Looks like a straight battle between the Boehly and Ricketts bids. I don’t think the Saudi bid is likely given the political background, time constraint, and the uncertainty of who is behind the bid.

Of the two US bids, Boehly seems the more convincing.

If the Owners of NUFC, who is essentially the ruler of Saudi Arabia says' Boris sort this for my country', it 'll happen, i may give you more Oil,

It's pretty much similar to us in terms of transfers. Only difference is Roman is ruthless and is willing to pay settlements.

As for how the club is run, the new owner/s just need to maintain status quo for a while and see what can be done about the stadium. We have a very solid infrastructure and foundation to begin with that exists without the need of a manager.

Utd on the other hand, relied on SAF and always hired Utd old boys without looking at their expertise. Almost chalk and cheese really to us

I don't agree that we were run the same way as United under Roman. Its pretty clear Unites is run under a Profit first model while Chelsea under Roman were willing to take financial losses for the risk of success. Yes we've has as many flop signings as them but our trophy cabinet under Roman clearly shows that we were a better run club in terms of putting football and winning first.

I think you’ve just explained why the Saudi Media bid won’t succeed. It would be a huge conflict of interest, too much closeness to the Saudi gov’t, and therefore a closeness between Newcastle and Chelsea. That’s before you even get to the human rights questions. Won’t be allowed to happen.

The only viable bids are American. People ought to get used to the fact. No Saudi sheik is going to ride out of the desert with a bagful of money.

Tired of this. So that’s it. No other Saudi can ever own a football club because the Newcastle owners got there first.

And your statement is completely false saying SMG is close with the Saudi government.
