Utd are in bad form with low morale and fans turning on individual players (sounds familiar?). We have to play them anyway so now is as good a time as any. This could go either way so it is impossible to call. I expect it will be a question of whether our defence can avoid giving away a sloppy goal or two.

Surprised to see both Willian and Kovacic start. 

If he goes with Kovacic in midfield I think you’ve got to start Pedro. If you start Willian you’ve got to start RLC or Barkley.

I think Alonso is back in to defend set pieces with his height, which to be honest under these circumstances is not a bad shout, him and Rudi vs christinson and Emerson are a different prospect totally when defending balls in, happy with the selection except for Ruben

Sarri’s had no answer for when coming up against a diamond midfield so far this season, let’s see if he’s learned anything today. 

Can imagine Kovacic getting tight to Jorginho to try and avoid him getting marked out of the game.

He is going for the win, we should certainly sit a bit deeper and counter, plenty of balls over the top, they can’t defend that at all if we stay tight will almost certainly pinch a goal

Alonso has been sh*tting the bed every time he’s played lately. While Emerson may not be stand out, he’s not making bonehead mistakes. 

On the bright side it means that Alonso can bomb amble forward with fewer repercussions.

Our entire strategy should consist of Hazard flitting around around the D trying to win free kicks off Matic and Herrera.

Don’t think we would rest anyone that would help us beat Utd at this point in the season, especially with a decent rest in between 

If we lose today first time 3 loses on the trot at old Tugfest since 1957 

I think we are destined to make top 4 now whatever the result today. Arsenal just lost 3-0 to Leicester.
