June 2, 20197 yr I thought this may prove fun and evolve through the summer. Sarri or no Sarri? Registration ban or suspended on appeal? Based on the likely Sarri gone and probably taking Jorginho and Emerson with him: Kepa James Christensen Rudiger Azpi Kante Ampadu Barkley Pedro Abraham Willian
June 2, 20197 yr Lampard. Kepa Azpi Christensen Rudiger Emerson Kante Mount Pedro Barkley Pulisic Giroud

June 2, 20197 yr Just now, cuppaT said: Gonna be a long old season..... It will be anyways unless we somehow get the ban held and go all out in the transfer market. But i don't think either will happen. Our squad will be in bad, bad shape come august with no Hazard and long-term injuries to RLC and CHO but it is what it is and we just have to deal with it. I hope we manage to assess the quality of our crop of youngsters and do some proper long-term planning for the summer of 2020 and onwards. That's what i think we need to do.
June 2, 20197 yr I fear we’re gonna end up either selling or re-loaning most if not all of our loan army for next season. Given some of the dumb stuff we often do I can totally see that happening.
June 2, 20197 yr Lampard manager, Kepa Azpi Luiz Christensen Emerson Kante jorginho Barkley Pedro giroud willian (Rudi injured, no signings, Pulisic on the bench, with kovacic). Yawn. Edited June 2, 20197 yr by bisright1
June 2, 20197 yr Lampard manager. Kepa James, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Emerson Drinkwater, Kante Pulisic, Barkley, Willian Giroud (assuming Rudiger, CHO and RLC all unavailable)
June 2, 20197 yr Allegri manager. Kepa Rudiger Christensen Azpilicueta Alonso Jorginho Kante Zappacosta Willian Giroud Pulisic
June 2, 20197 yr Cech Ivan Terry Carvalho Cole Duff Lampard Essien Robben J.Cole Drogba Them were the days, I can’t even think of a team for next season as we are still in limbo. If sarri goes likely Jorginho does too. The two players who i was looking forward to next season have bad injuries so they won’t be featuring for a while.

Hopefully we learned our lesson with him and RLC is an example of how we will treat our best youth prospects.

June 2, 20197 yr Kepa Azpi - Rudiger - Luiz - Emerson Kante - Jorginho - Barkley Pulisic - Giroud - Willian Manager: Sarri
June 2, 20197 yr Kepa Azpi rudiger Luiz alonso jorginho kante barkley pulisic giroud CHO if fit manager lampard.
June 2, 20197 yr Author Almost everyone going with Giroud eh? Not surprised is the safer bet and I am happy he is staying. A good player. Personally would be happy with him and tammy plus Batman, if we want 3, as our forwards. I rate them all for their own qualities.
June 3, 20197 yr Start of the season: azpi Christensen Luiz Emerson Jorginho Kante Willian/Barkley Pulisic Morata/bats Pedro Willy used to be number 10 he can play there I’d play a 2 man pivot behind with kante driving a bit linking with Willy on the counter and Jorginho doing what he does, i’d no way leave him out he is a top player and is starting to settle in the PL. Bakayoko another option to consider. Line up 2: azpi Christensen Luiz Emerson Kante jorginho Kova Pulisic Morata/bats Pedro/willian after Jan: azpi Rudiger Luiz Emerson Kante jorginho RLC pulasic/Willian CHO/perdo Morata/bats The after Jan team with the right manager makes top 4 in my opinion although UTD are going to buy heavy, if Tottenham lose Poch I think they will need time, Arsenal still have major problems so top 4 should still be achievable.

Kepa Rudiger Christensen Azpilicueta Alonso Jorginho Kante Zappacosta Willian Giroud Pulisic Emerson ahead of Alonso and Pedro ahead of Willian and I would be fine with that if we still have the ban in place. As long as it's attacking minded rather than defensive though, I don't want us reverting back to Conte's 2nd season tactics. Loftus-Cheek back in for Jorginho after he returns from injury too. It would mean Kante does less attacking but I would prefer that way anyway. I know people like Kante as a box to box type player, but I personally think is bang average going forward. I much prefer him sitting deep and breaking up play. Getting forward now and again is fine, but I would prefer him not to do it often because I don't think he is actually that good at it.
June 3, 20197 yr Im hearing quite few whispers today so. Kepa Azpilicueta Rudiger Zouma Alonso Jorginho Kante Pedro Barkley Willian Giroud Dof Cech Assistant manager Terry Manager.............Mourinho III.
June 3, 20197 yr Kepa Azpi Rudiger Luiz Emerson Jorginho Kante Barkley Pulisic Batshuayi Willian Long live Sarriball.
June 3, 20197 yr Would just like to add, how dogsh*t are our attacking options? Christ, we need this ban suspended until January.
June 3, 20197 yr Doubt that Sarri will stay. Seems destined for Juve now. Although I love Lamps for his time here as a player, I just don't think he's ready for leading Chelsea. Imagine him against proven managers like Klopp or Guardiola. I think we'd get absolutely hammered. I would hope for something like this... Manager: Erik Ten Hag GK: Kepa RB: Reece James RCB: Azpi/Tomori/AC (Hopefully Tomori is given a chance - but another season with Derby seems logical). LCB: David Luiz/Clarke-Salter (Though JCS will probably be loaned out). LB: Emerson/Azpi RCM: Barkley CDM: Kanté/Ampadu LCM: Mount RW: Pulisic ST: Giroud/Abraham LW: Willian The line-up takes the following in mind: Transfers - Jorginho is sold to Juve, as Sarri is appointed as the new head coach of Juve (He could just use Pjanic/Bentancur for that role, but let's just imagine it'll happen). - Pedro is sold. - Alonso is sold. - Batshuayi is sold. - Drinkwater is sold. - Higuain & Kovacic's loan-deals doesn't get extended. Injuries Loftus-Cheek Hudson-Odoi Antonio Rudiger You could argue that Ten Hag would - just as Sarri - prefer at controlling CDM - just as he has with Schöne now. Therefore selling Jorginho isn't neccesarily given. - In case we decide to appeal our ban to CAS - my ideal squad - with all players fit, and some transfers (Most recent rumours) - would be something like this. GK: Kepa RB: Reece James/Azpi RCB: Rudiger/Azpi LCB: David Luiz/AC LB: Emerson/Azpi RCM: RLC/Barkley CDM: Kanté/Ampadu LCM: Coutinho/Mount RW: Pépé/Pulisic ST: Giroud/Abraham LW: Hudson-Odoi/Willian Dream scenario: With Griezmann leaving Atletico, and Barca seemingly having trouble to get the deal finalized, it would be perfect with him as a striker. Highly unlikely though... But just imagine CHO/Griez/Pépé up front.

A lot of Chelsea fans aren't patient enough to have a progressive manager at the helm. As for Tomori and JCS, neither will make it at Chelsea.

The difference between him and Sarri is, IMO, that Ten Hag offer a more direct style of football. Not just moving the ball from side to side for the sake of it. What I fear with Lamps is that our fans in the beginning will give him a long leash due to his history at the club - but then they'll turn on him in time if results and/or playing style isn't going anywhere. And I would be so sad to see his legacy partly ruined due to taking charge of Chelsea too early. As well, I think you're right about Tomori and JCS. Sadly... Tomori has been brilliant this year. Perhaps Chalobah has a better chance than the two - though he'll probably be loaned out.

Need someone who can build on what Sarri has started, instead of reverting back to an Allegri type manager.
