Everton v Chelsea (PL) Sat 7th Dec 12:30 GMT

Featured Replies

Everyone knew Everton would be fired up with a new manager, we only needed to hold on for the first 15 min, but Zouma, Azpilicueta and Christensen are all not good enough so they score. After that we have several chances to score, but Willian is still trying to make his mind up on these chances going into half time...

We have no presence in the box with AC he just gets bullied by everyone.. wow all 3 fit CBs have issues when starting .. Zouma is very poor positionally .. tomori with brain fades and AC is just Not powerful enough.. can we bring back JT!

Kepa completely at fault for their goal. The ball's hanging in the air, on the six yard line, and he remains rooted to the spot, as usual, and the ball goes in, as usual. It's beyond a joke. A cross virtually means a goal with him in goal, and I don't think he'll survive beyond this season. His distribution has been poor too, twice playing us into trouble.

We've been the better side, we've played well, fluently, without creating a clear-cut chance, but Everton will tire hopefully, because they've put a lot of effort into chasing us around the pitch.

Kovacic has been amazing, as usual. It's a pleasure to watch him play. The best player in Chelsea's squad, no question. Willian has been good too, as has Mount, and Pulisic has grown into the game.

I think we're going to win this. Come on Chelsea.

Shocking first half really. I cannot think of anything of note from us at all during that half.  Zouma overhits everything, Mount underhits everything. Kante's touch and awareness has been shocking. Dave's decline is actually speeding up now and he is starting to look like a League 1 player out there.

Too much pi$$-ar$ing around trying to walk the ball in. I don't understand why those that are supposed to be the tactical geniuses can't work out the simple tactics againts playing a team like Everton.

New manager bounce, running on adrenalin. So lengthen the pitch and make them run and run because they will run out of steam. hit the channels, get behind them and make them run themselves into the ground, instead of the tippy toe tap bollox.

Awful half, majority of our players with very poor individual performances. I never thought i would say this but Kante is having an abysmal game

Agree Kante not offering much today

Always a tough place to go, and conceding early against a team low on confidence with a interim manager, is an awful start.

We have been okay on the ball, but similar to last season, we havent taken our chances.

Still havent come from behind to win this season, an early goal and i think its possible, but im not too optimistic.

While most time I agree he needs to be more commanding and sells his defenders shot.. this one was hit with pace and didn’t go as high.. nothing he could have done on this one..

I’ve watched enough football matches to think bringing on Barkley might be the (or a) play here

He's got something to prove to them and will be fired up, but he's also sh*t

It's the usual spirited display from a team that just had their manager sacked, so Everton's determination is understandable.

What puzzles me is how inept and unprepared we're looking. Another cross, another goal. Any manager worth his salt should be disgusted with this and Frank needs to pull the finger out. I don't know what the f**k they're doing in training but this is unacceptable that we keep letting teams tearing us apart at the back.

They gave up a 1-0 lead against Leicester last week, after playing a great first half, with a Richarlison goal, then the 2nd half they fizzled out and sat back waiting for Leicester.

Its like westham all over again. I am sick of this sh*t. I also dont know why christensen starts dude plays like a girl

Not even sure here. I think Millie Bright could probbaly knock seven shades of sh!t out of him.

I knew this game would be like this. Too often we help these teams in terrible form.
You can't really do anything about it. Just play the best football you can. Everton have a great squad. They play their best football and there is really no gap between us and them.

Still wont come from behind and win today , we will get hit on the counter as we push for a goal

Don’t disagree. My primary rationale is superstition

I don't think there's any pace on that cross. It's lobbed in pretty high, and it's very close to him. A lot of keepers are getting to that in my opinion, they're coming out and punching it clear.

I think the problem is we haven’t got enough decent crossers in our team so it’s nearly impossible to practice defending them, unless we brought another football team to train with.
