My only concern is that our attack looks fairly weak, inconsistent and unproven.

Noni, Mudryk - haven’t done anything yet and have a lot to prove.

Sterling - turns up when he wants

Nkunku - unproven

Broja, Jackson - done very little to suggest they can do it at elite level

Pochettino is going to have to work some miracles to get us scoring. Our attack is light and unproven.

Yes, pretty much the case, another reboot. High hope on Nkunku, although he better not be playing as a reluctant striker. Broja or Jackson as the starting striker is admirable, although we have no idea what they could or could not do

How is Nkunku unproven?

I mean this could be a blessing. The likes of Atletico, Dortmund and Napoli have been successful with this strategy without the 100m signings.

With the lack of quality in the game today buying proven is not the way to go. It's an expensive risk.

I presume with Nkunku you mean unproven in the prem?

As for Havertz going leaving us weak in attack, I dont think him leaving weakens us in any way when you see the last 2 seasons we got from him, which were pretty much complete wastes of time.

Does Havertz get 2 assists if Werner and Pulisic don't miss sitters?

Cracking point.

Those trying to play down his goal and performance in the champions league final are rewriting history.

As frustrating as he has been, he has won us games, won us trophies and I think been our top scorer.

Sure - he has not been the world beater we had hoped - but the team has been broken.

Respect to Kai for not throwing his toys out the pram like “Mr Chels” and not leaking to the press, so far he’s handling himself with respect for club and fans.

Honestly, after the way we won the CL I'm sure most players would put up a huge tantrum seeing that their false 9 key role is gone because hey Lukaku is back for no reason... While I'm sure the whole thing impacted him negatively overall, he never made a big deal out of it and just kept his head down. Kai looks like a decent guy.

I think Kai is getting overlooked with the drama around Mount! If Mount had signed that deal back when, people would be posting equally how Kai snaked us to a London rival!

I firmly believe that both Kante and Kova were just given a move option and both would’ve signed a new deal if we offered it. Kai and Mason both were set to get out asap! I also think no champions league and some shoddy ownership decisions swung some of it too, and for that, to some extent, we need to understand!

People see a bigger problem when someone wants to join the ranks of Man U, it's that simple. Nobody takes Arsenal seriously.

He may be doing the exact same thing but I expect that from players who don’t have long standing connection to the club. Not once have I heard a peep from Kai’s camp also he hasn’t come through our academy or portray himself as the future of our club that’s the big difference here.
Kai wanted to leave the club agreed Arsenal matched our valuation because he has time in his contract he didn’t run his contract down and try to force his way out of the club putting the club in a weaken position.

Has Mount said he is MrChelsea though? Only he wanted to make it here, which he has delivered. For whatever reason he has decided he wants to move on, something has unsettled him and only he really knows what it is. Happens everyday in a normal work setting.

He's always said he's a Portsmouth lad. 😂

The issue at hand is that there's a certain set of fans within this fanbase that have raised Mount to an unrealistic pedestal alongside the likes of Terry, Drogba, Lampard, Cole, etc. There's also a certain set of fans that look to knock Mount off that pedestal because they feel those set of fans unfairly rate him and look to degrade him at any given chance, much of it unwarranted. iF heS pRoPER cHelS tHAn wHY iS hE LeAViNG??? I have no qualms with Mount leaving and hope for the best, just so long his best doesn't conflict with our best.

Would I consider Mason Mount a Chelsea through and through legend? No. Would I consider Mason Mount a Chelsea success story? Yes.

Hilarious seeing the hypocrisy in this thread, Havertz has done the exact same thing as Mount, only difference is Arsenal met our valuation and Utd haven't.

Isn't Mount trying to drive the price down compared to the other players we're trying to move on?

By the way, I'm not in the camp of slating Mount and praising Havertz, I don't dislike either of them for wanting to move. But that's what people have told me who are angry with Mount at the moment, the way he's going about it.

How is he doing that?

With the comments coming from his Team, it's not exactly helping our negotiations in getting the asking price for him and he only has a year left on his contract.

Giroud signed a new contract just so we could get money for him. Havertz's contract doesn't expire until 2025 and he wants to go but he's not kicked up a fuss about it.

Which comments?

Strange people seems to blame Lukaku for everything that is going wrong at Chelsea.
a season without him and we still bad and all our top players seems in a hurry to get out.

the problem must be deeper then that almost all the first team players are leaving.

Kai, Mount, Kovacevic, Pulisic, … won’t sign new contract and ask to leave immediately.

Havertz hasn’t spoken as much as Mount’s side. But, are you equating Mount to Havertz? Really? I care about what Havertz could have said as much as Lukaku, but Mount is hurting as he’s an academy lad.
