Kai Havertz

Featured Replies

I really believed Havertz was world class with the hype that surrounded him and I there's a slight part inside me that is sad and worried what he will become at Arsenal.

But he's had so many chances with us in alll positions and has failed miserably. Surely there is no way he can switch it on and become the player for them we hoped him to be.

I think he will be fine for Arsenal. Offensively arsenal focus right now is definitely more on adding variety.

It is difficult to find upgrade for Arsenal. Oshimen over Jesus is probably a good shout but Oshimen will cost you everything.

Unlike odegaard who is more of traditional 10,Kai is more of an ss and he offer them something different (height) than what they have.

Soen going to recoup most of the 70 million we paid. Flashes of class but in large he's been useless.

KK, Ziyech, Havertz, Kante, Kova..that's a good amount shifted for decent money.

If Mount and a few others are added to the mix it will be a decent rebuild.

Significant book profit on Havertz

Significant book profit on Kovacic

Small book profit on Mendy

Broke even on Koulibaly

Small book loss on Ziyech

I believe for FFP it takes revenue over profit, but the book value profit and reduction in wages should help the club's finances moving forward.

No idea about any of that stuff. I take it we are in a financial mess then if thisbis all in aid of FFP.

I think this is great business, we've almost made our money back on him when lets be honest, we had no right to do that did we? I thought we would be lucky to get 50 million for him.

My fear is him fitting in with Arsenal and thus showing his full potential. Arsenal like to keep the ball on the ground and are a good possession team with fast players which fits him.

He won't have to be going for headers with strong defenders. He will fit in as a false 9

So be it. He was never getting close to his potential at us and we are basically getting our money back on a poor investment.

Hope we spend it on a better player

Can't think I'm happy about the deal, despite all the criticism ( mostly correct) against him. But we did a good recovery job in terms of money, and for that price he has to be a starter for Arsenal, and they will have issues fitting him into that team. We have all seen it in the past, sign a big name player actually breaks them dynamics in the team and dressing room, hopefully this is one of those

You mean like when Lamps and Tuchel both did when he was still w**k?

Never understand why that is the go-to defence for Kai. Multiple managers have tried him in different positions including behind the striker and never got the best out of him. He plays well for one or two games and then completely vanishes.

This is good work from the transfer committee. I really didn't think we'd be able to get more than £40-45m for Havertz.

Certain games through the season I would have taken 30 bob.
