It’s early days. Top four or what other teams are doing doesn’t really matter. We need only focus on our own results, and the rest will take care of itself.

Like I was saying before the game, a big player was due to be left out the squad due to the depth and quality of the squad. He is an unfortunate victim of that. I personally thought Jorginho would be left out but he has gone with CHO. I definitely think our attack can cause their defence issues.

Good lineup, pretty much expected that team to play. Havertz and Pulisic just got back from injury, and it's probably wiser to play Kovacic instead of Havertz for this game anyway. 

Literally not been this nervous for a game in years, possibly since Munich.

A win would be absolutely massive!

You can't leave Jorginho out when our only other midfielder on the bench is Havertz. Leaving CHO out is the correct choice, it isn't a deal breaker, he can play next game. 

In the past when we have played them Frank has rolled out a surprise or two with line up and formation. Not this time.

Whether that surprises Jose or not will be key imo.

Disappointed no Giroud starting though.

Don’t need Kepa on the bench. Anyone else is able to let every shot in. 
 

On a serious note, I really hope Tammy turns up in a big game. I would have preferred Giroud today however I wasn’t against Tammy starting due to form. Come on big man.

In fairness, Giroud is usually better to bring on. 

Feel really nervous for this one. Think seeing Jose’s smug face would ruin my day. Let’s hope we smash them. 

Exact team I was expecting so can’t argue. 

I really hope Kante can stay disciplined in the DM role. He needs to sit and not roam around looking for the ball. That should be Mount and Kovacics job. I am also glad/proud that lamps could see the obvious and start Kovacic over Havertz. havertz is our future and is the youngest/Most expensive of our summer transfers. It would be better to make him earn his spot in the starting eleven like Pulisic last season instead of shoe horning him into the line up.. I was judging by what Lamps has done in previous games when for instance Jorginho has started, Kovacic has been left out the squad.
