Set plays are a concern with Wood, Mee and James Tar looking to get on the end of McNeils excellent delivery and us having Tammy, Silva and Rudiger on them I would guess.

Maybe we’re only playing Alonso for his height then :good2:

Well hopefully we add some goals and entertainment to the boring control we had in the last game.

For sure Burnley pose an actual threat unlike the insipid Wolves who have something like 3 points out of 24.

Seeing Alonso back in the team makes me very happy. Come on! ?

He is a traitor and not to be trusted. He can get a hatrick 3 times in a row and I still won't trust him. 4 in a row and I might just consider not blaming him for everything bad in the world.

On a semi related note did you know it was Alonso that produced the new strain of covid

I don’t think it’s such a bad line up   I’d have preferred havertz to mount but many would say mount does more.
For my money cho is a great wing back. I’d pick him ahead of James. Plenty of firepower on the bench.

I’d have swapped Werner for Havertz and brought Werner off the bench, especially if we’re up and they’re chasing

Sunday 12 o’clock kick offs are the f**king worst for drinking though. I might just stick to soft drinks, I’m not happy about the food situation though.

Agreed. Still battling my hangover from yesterday, nowhere near ready to resume drinking yet!

Biggest disappointment for me is Jorginho starting. This calling for the 5 yard pass, delivering another 5 yard pass while pointing to player to instruct another pointless 5 yard pass. Just pisses me off.

No other choice though. The only other choice is to play james in mid.

Not keen on seeing Alonso back or that Kova-Jorginho midfield, but we haven't much more to play unless you put Gilmour into the equation (wishful thinking). Also, not a fan of the 343 against teams that are going to park the bus at the Bridge. Let's see how it goes, though, Tuchel is deemed a tactical genius.

Azpi at centre back is going to be targeted by Burnley for diagonals, and also at set pieces. He will be isolated as CHO has no idea how to double up or cover. We need height and physicality against these c**ts, this will not end well.

Imagine the reaction if Lampard had picked this team ?

1 o'clock for me and I would of been drinking anyway.

I once got the idea that if I sober up I'll have to put up with a hangover. It's got to the point now I'm far too scared. If I sober up I'm going to get about 3 years of hangovers all at once and I figure its just not worth it. Better to drink. The only issue I have had is a little short term memory problem but if Franky gets a win for us today I won't mind

Happy enough with the team. Chillwell, Ziyech and Giroud were slowing everything down so not surprised they’ve been dropped. I would of liked to see Zouma and James playing, but this team should be capable of winning well.

Glad to see Marcos back...

I think choice of attack minded Alonso and CHO is good considering Burnley are a defensive team..

Hope to put 3 or 4 goals past them..

Come on Blues....

I think it is interesting too.

CHO, Mount, Alonso, Abraham means a goal threat and if Werner can get his mojo back we might play half decently

Morning everybody over there at 10 to midday it’s not even 4am here

im too tired to comment on the lineup but 2 names don’t stand out on the blurry team sheet. Jorginho & Kova, and looks like Tickles his own man cus Havertz ain’t starting and Chilly who I thought was a SFL signing has been rightly benched for his sub par performance as a wingback

ps if I go quiet after KO don’t worry I’ve just gone back to bed
