April 10, 20215 yr While not an out and out striker I would hope if this lad is available we try just as hard to sign him as Haaland. https://www.football-espana.net/2021/04/10/real-madrids-strategy-to-sign-kylian-mbappe

Better option then Haaland and Lukaku for me .... proven over several seasons ... for both goals and assists ... and still young enough to give us 5 good years. Haaland is almost certainly going to be way too expensive, and I'd rather we weren't dealing with his greedy agent ...

April 12, 20215 yr Memphis Depay - contract expires this summer and there are huge rumors about Barcelona wanting to get him for free, also maybe Liverpool and there is also reports that he might return to Man United because Haaland might be unreachable. He's a guy that has a lion all over his back so he would fit right in at the Bridge 16 goals, 9 assists in League 1, for free? Why are we not all over this?
April 12, 20215 yr Hate to say it but we should have gone for Cavani. He’s been brilliant for United. I can understand why there was hesitation though.

The fans would have slaughtered the board for going for another old striker after Higuain. Giroud would've probably left if we got Cavani

Haaland is almost certainly going to be way too expensive, and I'd rather we weren't dealing with his greedy agent ... There's a reason Haaland generates so much interest, he's delivering at the top level at the age of 20. The kid is five-six years away from reaching his peak and he's already spoken about as one of the world's best and keeps scoring. Whichever club gets him will have a world class striker for the next decade in their hands, provided he continues to play well. Kane is much more experienced and polished, but he's also eight years older He doesn't have time on his side, if he leaves it's going to be for a team that is ready to win now. He also has little resale value due to his age, wherever he goes, if he goes, that's going to be his last big contract. Kane also has been carrying Spuds for years and that body took a lot of beating, so there's always that potential Torres moment just around the corner. Still, if Haaland is unattainable due to the cost or him wanting to go somewhere else, Kane would be my preferred option. I wish he was a bit younger but apart from that, he ticks a lot of boxes and could be the missing piece of the puzzle for us. Having said that, Daniel Levi would rather fellate himself on live TV than sell his best player to Chelsea, we all remember the Modric saga from years ago. Edited April 14, 20215 yr by abramovich
April 14, 20215 yr Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke says there will be no cut-price sales by his club this summer. Watzke told BBC Sport: "When Covid-19 struck, we had no debt. Not one euro. Because of that, it is a comfortable situation. We do not have to sell a player. That is important. "The rich clubs in the world, they must know when they want a player from Borussia Dortmund there are two possibilities. The first is that I tell them they have no chance. Other times, I will tell them 'this is the price'. Then they must know this is the price. It is not another price. "We are very clear. We are very honest."

This guy has top top mentality. If he were to go on a goal drought I doubt his self belief would diminish. One of my favourite quotes of my favourite player Eden Hazard "I never doubt my ability" when he had that season to forget he never lost his belief in his abilities and we need nore players like that. I rate Memphis this could be a deal like KDB & Salah were he to return to the prem. Not to mention its a free, personally if we don't end up going on for him I'll assume TT is against signing him since he saw him ligue 1 and will know him better than we do. Another one is Dybala he may be recovering atm but if he gets back to form he is a top top talent. Rumour has it in italy Marina is looking to do a swap deal with a bit of change on the side involving Emerson. Regardless of how stacked the attack is atm if we can swap Emerson and like £30m for Dybala we do it and sort out the rest later on. https://www.juvefc.com/not-only-psg-three-epl-sides-in-swap-deals-for-juventus-star/

I'm sure Depay would be a great signing for us. Dybala is a great player, no doubts about that. Tactically he would be either behind the main striker on the right side (which would fit with Mount that is on the left side) so a possible attack would be: Havertz Mount - Dybala or as a false 9: Werner/Pulisic - Dybala - Havertz/Ziyech/CHO? All of this is taking for granted that somehow he will stop playing with the 3 at the back next season and for that we would need a new CB... So as much as a new attacker might be a real necessity, IMO we should be looking to secure a top CB in the summer as well just so that we can go back to a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, specially since T.Silva will be leaving.

Yup, although not sure Thiago will leave, he's still got the possibility for an extension so he may stay another year as a player. He's also reportedly doing his coaching badges so I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to stick around and learn from Tuchel. Priorities this summer have to be a world class cb and st and if we have enough a dm. Also we need to shift a lot of dead wood.

Nope whoever play with Havertz and mount need to provide behind run threat.

April 27, 20215 yr Author We need a prolific box striker, a clever finisher, someone that will convert the chances, i'm now convinced Werner would be played in more, if his Teams actually trusted he could convert more...
April 28, 20215 yr If we really go out for a striker this summer I'd love to tempt Lautaro Martinez from Inter, to me he's the perfect mixture of pace, flair, strength, work rate and that "nastiness" that makes strikers feared. Not the tallest, but anticipates well so can get to the end of crosses and is aggressive to win duels. Has everything in him to become as good as Aguero, although Kun was probably a better finisher already at the same age. Maybe is better suited for a two striker formation since he's doing pretty well alongside Lukaku for Conte, but I believe he can lead the line just fine and would link up nicely with Mount & co. Only problem is that Inter are winning Serie A this year, so maybe he wouldn't want to leave, but since they may have some economical troubles we could try to persuade them + giving back Emerson who seems to be rated somehow.

April 29, 20215 yr I don't really rate Martinez and I've watched Inter quite a bit this season. I mean he's good but.... We aint going near a Totenham player after the Modric saga. Haaland will be too expensive. Ings etc just wont be the one. I could live with another Anelka. Maybe another German. Theres one there that's actually outscoring Haaland, forget the name.
April 29, 20215 yr Cant say I’m too carried away with any of the younger ones except mbapoe and Harland
