May 11, 20224 yr How good is he compared to Declan Rice? Highlight reels look good and would be cheaper but signing players from the French league is always a gamble (still traumatised from Bakayoko)

He is a better all around player compared to Rice, particularly on the offensive side. Pairing him and Gallagher as double 6s could add a lot more fire power in the Chelsea midfield which they have lacked for a while.

Rice is actually very good in attacks as well although you can't expect him to score. Ideally I would love us to have a pure DM. Jorginho is another option against different kind of opponents.
May 18, 20224 yr Read some rumours that Liverpool have agreed personal terms with him. I’m sure there’s plenty of teams who are after him so I’m hoping this doesn’t mean he’s agreeing a move to them.

Seems like our rivals will be even stronger while we will take a step back and surrender the spotlight...
May 18, 20224 yr Really hoping we wrap up Kounde, and he inflences Tchouameni to come here. If we end up with Dembele, or Nkunku too it could be quite the french revolution!

Nothing was agreed, just that Real Madrid have pulled out which makes them think they are the only front runner because we apparently can't do anything all summer.

One thing Liverpool do that is great is if they want someone there isn’t 3 months of hearsay, there might be some rumours but as soon as the interest is concrete they wrap up the deal quickly

Same with Pulisic.

If you look at our interest in Havertz for example we knew of the concrete interest for a couple of months before we made it official. But if you look at recent deals from Liverpool like Diaz and Kouyate that interest was made public and within a couple of weeks the deals were done

They where most likely monitoring him with a view to buying him in summer then panicked thinking Spurs might steal him.

It was somewhat of a shock signing given the timing, as Liverpool had been linked with a summer 2022 move for the forward. But Tottenham were ready to go all out to secure the player's signature before then. So Liverpool was forced to move fast, and it executed the deal in January, rather than risk losing him to a domestic rival. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/soccer/news/who-is-luis-diaz-liverpool-how-much-cost-transfer/vxuw2zt3lq7rgsz157xbxigw You're right. May 20, 20224 yr Liverpool linked with Ibrahim Sangare. Hopefully Monaco's price on Tchouameni has put them off.
May 21, 20224 yr Reports are that Tchouameni is being linked to Real Madrid, especially now they have money to burn following Mbappe deciding to stay at PSG.

Aye seen that too. They were more linked with him last year but it cooled down. Now Mbappe snubbed them, as did Haaland, they will be looking to make a splash. Toni is not a big enough star on his own for that.
May 22, 20224 yr Real will wait for the result in the CL next Saturday. Then they will decide if they will bring in a lot of fresh blood or more or less keep the same team.

F Scott McLaughlin and his scouts who thought Saul was a better option than Tchouameni last summer. Peter Cech was pushing to sign him but got overflowed ruled . McLaughlin should be fired for that clear and obvious mistake.

Last summer was the time to recruit him on the back of winning the Champions League. Instead we signed Lukaku, Saul, and sold off most of our promising young defenders. Has to be the worst transfer window in living memory.
