Not comparable. The sale took so long and we lost time, logic. 

Now there is only Rice.. Chelsea needs him, we know it and West Ham knows it.. They won't lower their demand.... 

I see a lot of Pogba in him. Lots of flash. I´m not bothered by this at all. +$80M is an overpay imho. I´d rather have seen him at Liverpool than Bellingham next summer, who is probably Plan B for them.

Tchouameni and Kamara were arguably the two most realistic options, and now both gone. Declan Rice won't happen.

Going to miss Roman but I am certainly not going to miss the abomination of transfer decisions his 'friends' are responsible for. 

Boehly needs to make changes ASAP the moment he comes in.

Just like they´ll have on all top prospects in world football! That´s what proper elite clubs do. We are not Manchester United.

 

Still hoping for ndidi if we are looking for a more defensive minded mid. In case a more footballing mid. Then I would like milinkovic-savic.

Better than Liverpool I suppose. Just need to make sure we get rice or Bellingham in the next two summers.

If he has chosen Madrid that is pretty much the only club we cannot compete with, hence why it’s the only club our top players leave for. The brand, the prestige, ‘the dream’ etc, not a big deal though as we’re in the same boat as every other club in comparison. 

If we’re talking getting deals over the line or seizing opportunities in general then that’s different (which is probably what you’re talking about) but in a tug of war between us and Madrid, unfortunately there is only one winner. 

F Scott McLaughlin and his staff who ignored Petr Cech’s recommendation to sign Tchouameni and preferred to take Saul on loan. Chelsea needs to clean house in their scouting department and hire a proper sporting director. Way too many transfer mistakes over the last 5 years, including Kepa, Lukaku, Werner, Guehi, Abraham, etc.

Petr cech would be an excellent sporting director. He speaks like 5 languages too which will be advantageous in negotiations and attracting players.

It was actually Fabregas that recommended him to the club 2 seasons ago while playing alongside him at Monaco

I agree. One of the things Liverpool has done brilliantly is to to make a great team within a limited budget. Salah, Mane, Robertson were excellent additions at fair value.

We have wasted a lot of money or at least not done quite well enough with it.

we really should have gone with Tchouameni and Kounde last season. Kounde was obvious and to be fair we tried. Tchouameni was far from as clear cut then but what was obvious was that Kante, Jorginho and Kova were unlikely to make it through the season and we needed midfield refreshments. And not guys that struggle to make the Norwich starting 11 but world class midfielders

I would much rather slot in Gallagher for free and spend the £83M on Nkunku for £55M and Gvardioli at center-back for £30M.

Kante is a DM...he's The DM. Plus it's time to get younger in that area. Both Kante and Jorginho are 30 plus with one year left on their contracts. I wouldn't re-sign both and out of the two, I'd take Kante.

Amazing its 2022 and people still think Kante is a DM. 

He is when he plays for France. Also, if you play him in a more limited DM role instead of the 8 we might save his legs some so he doesn't miss half the season.
