So the Villa Burnley game has been postponed two hours before kick off due to COVID, injuries and illness in the Villa team. I wonder why is taking so long for the Premier League to realise that they need to suspend all matches for a while. This is biasing all the future games, we play Wolves tomorrow, then go to Brentford and Villa, if Villa are back to the competition against us, they’ll have had a week to rest (those not with COVID) while we will have played 2 games in less than a week. And tha goes for any other team too.

Yeah doesn’t seem fair or right that some matches will be played with depleted squads whilst others will be playing when they’re fresh and fully fit again. As much as I don’t want it to happen, it’s best it’s postponed for abit. Though I imagine the TV companies will have something to say about that - especially as it’s Christmas

This looks a terrible reflection on our performance, at home, to Leeds. The only excuse is we are old rivals, but at this point, in 2021, it can't be a legit excuse after seeing city and arsenal tear Leeds apart. Leeds are utterly sh*te and we made them look like a top four rival.

Is a terrible reflection on our useless offensive play. We should create more and we certainly should score more.

I would honestly sooner have Martinelli than any of our forward players, bar Mount, who is not a true forward anyway in my opinion.

Seriously this has to stop. What is the point of playing in these circumstances?

Leeds have basically the same aide out that faced us, before covid kicked up again. Arsenal are fine, why would the league postpone this game?

They were.. We were just awful.

I know it’s easy to be down on chelsea right now but Leeds weren’t as easy to get in behind as this. The holes at the back are huge…they were far more organised and motivated at the bridge.

Well they should be. Us and United are their most hated rivals.

Is like us being more motivated for Leeds and Spurs than West Brom or Norwich.

There were massive gaps when they were in our half.. We got the ball back, then we took 10 minutes to over the half way line.   :0)

Yeah I’m aware of that…just not having that leeds played just as poorly against chelsea as they did in the first half v arse. Not watched the second half as what was the point?

That’s a lesson to us, when your given a ‘gift horse’ don’t look it in the mouth. Everton similarly on Thursday should have been beat out of sight but we chose to make it difficult by errant finishing.

We played better against Everton than leeds but drew instead of won…go figure.

He isn’t a better player than any of them though, he is just playing in a 4-4-1-1 system that suits him. Different player in a 4-3-3, and will be awful in a 3-4-3

It's all well and good for pundits like Stan Collymore to say the league needs a two week 'circuit breaker' but if the rest of the country remains open or open enough and players can still go out partying, What happens if after two weeks, Handful of teams still have big numbers of players testing positive and games continue to get postponed?

What I find baffling is last year with no vaccine available, There were less games postponed, Was that due to players having to be in a bubble? More cautious behavior patterns because there wasn't a vaccine?

this reminds me of how we won against man city at the etihad under conte

liverpool are very fortunate not to be 3-0 behind
