He also dropped Rodri, and went with a midfield of Bernardo, Foden & Gundogan. He inexplicably started De Bruyne as a False 9. I think his/their inability to get into more 2 CL finals is because he 2nd guesses himself when he gets to the knockout stages. He somehow starts making bizarre selections, and dropping in form players. Can you really call 15 straight wins since their last loss in Oct good form? Their only solitary draw was against a dogged Southampton team. I am not sure they are that reliant on De Bruyne anymore, and you could argue he is on the wane though he is still a brilliant player. I feel they are more fluid now without a “9”, and having 3-4 No 10s in their starting lineup. Yes excellent form is more accurate and I agree against us he made a bizarre selection.

They could not play their game because we didn't let them, simple as. So no, I don't agree with the Pep lost himself the final narrative, we would have beaten them whoever Pep decides to play. After all, we had beaten them twice before with other team and tactics. I think they could have made it harder for us if they played a DM, it probably would have gone to ET and pens. But it's true that the fact that we beat them in the season gave him cold feet and made him try something new, he didn't give it to us on a platter, he tried his best to win and we prevailed yet again.

Werner in the early moments and Pulisic late on should have made it a much more comfortable game. There wasn't a moment I could remember where I thought City definitely should have scored. They had their chances, but it was dealt with thanks to brilliant defending. Edited February 17, 20224 yr by Scott Harris
February 17, 20224 yr Spectacular stuff from Rangers tonight ! Smashing the team that is 2nd in the Bundesliga ... and away from home to boot ...
February 17, 20224 yr I was watching Barca vs Napoli, Europa Cup. Ended up 1-1 Barca had Torres, Traore and Aubameyang starting from the EPL. First half was strange Napoli getting the goal despite Barca having more chances. In the second even more chances before Torres finally scored form a soft penalty, a bit of a tense moment as Torres (Ferran) had messed up several sitters. Torres scores the penalty like Jorginho. Torres continued to mess up good chances. Pedri also misfired too. Traore did not have a good game either, often placed far out on the right wing, found a few times with a long range passed yet straight away closed down by two defenders and his first touch was clumsy at times. Linked up a bit better in the 2nd before being replaced by Dembele. Dembele got booed every time he touched the ball for about 8 minutes until the crowd saw he was offering more than Traore. Napoli's Osimhen was interesting loads of pace on the break yet none of his team could keep up with him. Barca should have won with comfort now face an uncertain trip to Naples.

They were playing counter in the 1st half and delaying the game, they were utter sh*t in the 2nd until that lucky break at the end of the game. When we became the Champions of the world there were 1 maybe 2 articles. Don't be surprised fella, while Everton are the "proples club" Liverpool are most certainly the media's darlings.

In cl the margin of error in knockout stage is very little especially in later stage because your opp is usually very good. You can do everything right and you lose, yet you can make stupid decision and you win. I remembered pep bayern completely destroyed prime atletico, one counter they were out. He set a brave tactic against barca that worked wonder, two moment of magic from messi and they were out. This works the same to any good manager including klopp I remembered watching pool barca. 1st leg, pool were brilliant but lost 3-0. 2nd leg no way pool should have won 4-0, they gave up so many opportunities to Barca but when the dice goes your way, you looks like a genius. February 19, 20224 yr What version of Conte will we see today at the emptyhad? The all guns blazing version of Chelsea’s 1-3 win in 16/17 or the sh*tting himself version of our 1-0 defeat in the 17/18 season?

February 19, 20224 yr Terrible defending from City. That's how you get at them though, more teams should try it instead of conceding defeat before kick off.
