I'd be happy to replace Chalobah with any player that is better than him when you compare them on one of those graphs or stats listings that people here often show.

So far whenever i have looked at any of the players that we have been linked (haha) with, and that we could realistically get, they have generally been inferior by comparison (and this is from weaker leagues as well).

I don't really know how to do this, so this may well be flawed but i grabbed some stats against Upamecano who many have said we should be getting in, as an example.

He's the 3rd choice CB in a normal title challenging team. Reliable backup in low pressure games.

I was sat in Matthew Harding and really I remember it in the second half, where Chalobah was facing me and sticking his leg out in from of the ST. It could have been Fofana, I was kinda far away but I am pretty sure it was Chalobah...

It only stood out to me as I think he did it twice in about 5-10 minutes and I thought it was pretty handily done.

Upamecano is the one player without failure, that every time I watch looks complete sh*t. I would've been pissed if that was the CB we brought in.

I had a feeling that Jeremy Jacquet would turn out to be an Upamencano regen.

Trevoh is a better than average PL defender. Is he a starter for us next season? I highly doubt that. As a RCB he’s behind Fofana assuming he can stay fit. From what I saw of Sarr I believe he’s got a much higher ceiling than Trev too. Same goes for Josh. I’d imagine the first team squad will have 5 CB’s next season. Trev wouldn’t make the cut for me as much as it pains me to say. I don’t believe Trev would stay as a 4th or 5th choice either. He’ll want to play regularly.

No wonder they didn't replay it. I rewound at the time, trying to see what happened. It was a wide angle that seemed to show Hakimi sliding in. Must have gone to ground after connecting with Trev. LR saying it's a sprain.

Honestly a miracle that didn't break.

6 weeks out, given how awful it looked he got off very lucky.

Mr Chalobah is a credit to this club. It could have been worse, they could have sent him to Palace, again. Hurry back Trev even though they dont deserve you. 👍

Well it was always gonna catch up to us at some point, maybe not as spectacularly as under Rosineor but you can't make so many changes in defence every game and not leak goals.

Tell me if I am imagining this or not, but I swear I saw Gusto try and pump up the crowd when we won a corner 0-2 down in the 70th minute.
