Both, you and @ducavis have the right view and they are not mutually exclusive. I wouldn’t bring Auba and develop Broja as an option to Havertz. I wouldn’t let Chalobah go and if we brought Fofana, Chalobah would still get play time ahead of Azpi. I’d keep Azpi for experience purposes and can cover different positions.

We can't even field 3 defenders if we let him go before this weekend. We need him to play and step up fast, he was at Christensen level last season, deserves far more than what he got so far this season.

They actually get minutes for the first team though. 

Apparently we have an agreement with Inter Milan for him to go there on loan of we sign Fofana or another CB.

Big risk to lose him even if we sign Fofana. Silva won't play every game, Dave is not a first time regular, KK is new to the league and need time to adapt, James is playing out of position. We will struggle to field 3 CD even on good days.

Ridiculous move, we are desperately hunting for a CB yet we let one go, keep Azpi who should really be getting limited minutes. No doubt this points to Tuchel using James at CB more now, which is moronic.
