TBF they have Europe next season and we don't. Might be reading into it too much, who knows though. Would just be the cherry in top of the cake though wouldn't it? Sign a flop in Koulibaly for big money and huge wages when Colwill is already a better player? 2 years left on his deal, he holds the cards. Reminds me of Mounts situation last summer too.

Yesterday Mudryk, today Colwill with "questionable" actions off the pitch. And these guys are supposed to be our future. Character seems to be one of our main problems. These players are just not comparable in any way shape or form to the ones carrying us years ago. The guy was developed by our academy and now he "forgot" he was a Chelsea player? WTF? Been saying for a while, it's like groundhog day at this club these days. Never any good news, just constant bad.

I think most people thought he might end up being very good. but what your suggesting is you had the foresight to know we should replace 2 experienced CBs with 1 that had played 29 games in the championship instead of one of the best in serie A and a national team captain and that it was obvious

I had the same thoughts with James stepping up to replace our experiences right back Dave after his loan spell at Wigan. His quality was obvious, so was Colwills.
May 25, 20233 yr Certain at least 90% of the fanbase wanted Colwill to stay and be Koulibaly's understudy. With how the latter performed this season Colwill would've seen a lot of minutes.
May 25, 20233 yr Just read this on footy365 The changing room is the biggest part. These players are amazing. They are there for you, to put an arm around you, to give you advice, to tell you off. It’s just a perfect balance and I appreciate it so much. “As a young player, for all of us, for everyone in the changing room, this is what’s going to take us to the next level. “People just being on us every day, that’s what you need. I might not have liked it at the start of the season, or last year (when he was on loan at Huddersfield in the Championship). “I’d be thinking, ‘Why are these players always on to me?’, but I came to the realisation that I want them to be onto me, because it shows they care. I appreciate that so much. I’d never take that away from anyone. When they care, every day, it’s only going to improve you. I just love it.” The changing room is the biggest part. May 25, 20233 yr It's evidently clear he doesn't want to return. f**k him then, you don't want to be here then we don't want you. So much for the crap about academy players being "proper Chels". You have one being a cocky prick on social media, revelling in the mess we are in and one that doesn't seem to want to sign a contract because the poor little lamb isn't getting as much money as a few of his friends. A bunch of overpriviledged twats coming out from our academy these days. I don't even know what Colwill is bitching about, he was 19 after getting loaned out for f**k sake. Not many clubs in our position at the time will play a 19 year old CB.

May 25, 20233 yr Just now, axman2526 said: Why cause he is having a night out? Come on, surely you can see through this. Posting a picture with Gilmour in a reply to how his night is going straight after another bad defeat for Chelsea? After his comments to the media and now this, it's quite obvious how he feels.

I don't see him holding up a 4 and a 1 or taking a pi$$ on a Chelsea shirt. What should he be at home crying over our loss to United?

Hah did not recognize Billy Gilmour. So 2 current Brighton players are celebrating their achievement of making the Europa league and he is sharing how he feels about that and it is seen as a dig at us? Nah not for me, the comments fair enough I agree, the picture no.

You would have to be willfully ignorant to not see that Colwill was joining in on it. I'll just say this. If a club I disliked was having bad day and somebody asked me how my day was going, I would respond very similarly to this.
May 25, 20233 yr I'm already bored of hearing about Colwill this, Colwill that. He's the least of our worries. We need a goals more than anything at the moment. The amount of chances and yet cannot put them away. I swear football is like f**king gossip among fans. He said, she said, look what he did, look where he's been, blah, blah, etc, etc. Seriously, people need to get lives and stop following and focusing on footballers and every little move or thing they say or do. Edited May 25, 20233 yr by enigma
May 25, 20233 yr After a good season in the championship the best and most obvious move for him was a good footballing side like Brighton where he was more likely to get reasonable playing time than here at Chelsea. If I remember rightly when he wasn’t getting started at Brighton early days some thought what a waste of time. IMO was a great move that worked out perfectly as the club had hoped. What no one predicted was that we’d be so sh*t and he would have got a load of playing time here. Considering the way we preformed that would not have done him a lot of good. He is our player and he will come back, to loan him out again is madness. Hopefully our new manager will pick things up all round and we will have a much better season and Brighton can slip down where they belong with the added pressure of European football and expectation. If he doesn’t want to come to Chelsea sell him next season.
