CFCCAN Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Watching Spurs against lowly Morecambe and a few more games after Conte came in...they just aren't good enough to beat us, unless we make individual errors at the back. I'd start Kovacic and then bring Jorghino on when the tie is done in order to keep possession. As we know Jorghino has a habit of getting caught in possession in the most dangerous of places, which leaves our defence exposed and he does not have the legs to recover. Lukaku and Werner need game time but I'd stick with Havertz, Lukaku and Mount up front. 2-2 at worst or 1-0 to the our lot; either way we need to prove Conte right, when he said there is a 'big gap between us and them'. just 1
erskblue Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Just beat them Chelsea! Please!! Hemel Blue and chi blue 2

Personally i'd love to win the League Cup this season though so Tuchel will need to find a balance.

Don't want to make the same mistake Lampard made last time when we lost at their gaff with an understrength team... Edited January 12, 2022 by doctorblue
Gol15 Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Rest Silva for Man City, Mount as well. The Don Antonio 1

When was that? As far as I remember the only time we lost to Spurs under Lamps was a penalty shoot-out following a 1-1 draw in the League Cup 4th round. Oli 1
azpi28 Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 i think TT will not play Kante from the start judging on his press conference. I wouldn't mind seeing Kovacic, Jorginho or Saul even
Mário César Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 rest kante and silva. the rest can play today
Brigadeiro Mk II Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Hey there everyone, lost access to my old account midway through last November and only been lurking since then, but what a great day to comeback and spank the hell out of that lot. I'm hoping we start with Jorgi/Kova duo, if only to preserve Kante for City and maybe get Werner starting as well to keep improving his match fitness and confidence (I still have faith lol). forbzy Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 I suspect we will start the game with a strong lineup. If things are going in our favour, then perhaps Tuchel will bring on some subs second half to rest key players before Saturday.
Deino Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Matchday! I hope the team isn't too overconfident. We need to score early and be done with this tie erskblue 1
coco Posted January 12, 2022 Author Posted January 12, 2022 Wonder if we will start 4-2-2-2 again, it worked a treat last time.

chelseablueboy Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 I'm disappointed that the young lad didn't get another start after his great game on Saturday. Oli 1
