Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*

Featured Replies

The fact that so many of his points aren’t from speeding. They are for careless or dangerous driving. He’s a threat to other road users and pedestrians and should have his license revoked sine die.

It proves the theory beyond doubt that thick people can be excellent footballers because he’s currently our best CB imo

I genuinely thought professional footballers were contractually forbidden to go skiing.

Edit:

Of course, repeatedly breaking the speed limit is also not allowed, but that's obviously not a restriction Fofana pays any attention to.

Not in a standard contract, but that article is from 2017, back when this club had actual standards.

Wesley Fofana, points on his licence, 50.

Wesley Fofana, appearances for Chelsea over three and half seasons, 48.

😐

Off the top of my head after a quick look at TransferMarkt but I have his Chelsea career league points as 60, so the battle is well and truly on.

I don’t even understand why he still has a licence, surely it gets revoked after 12 points like anyone else?

I have an acquaintance who was caught sleeping in his car with keys in ignition, he's waited 2 1/2 years for a court slot as they keep postponing it, he can still drive. Slight barmey if you ask me but the courts are chockablock

50 points is insane though, surely you hit the threshold (12 points) and then your license is just revoked?

Yeah, that's what I thought, but they with money and can afford high profile lawyers... Perhaps there is a legal mind or two on here who could clarify it cause i didnt think baslketball numbers were possible. My take is that he hasnt yet gone to court over the penalty notices and is therefore innocent until proven a massive bell.

Surely the club need to make an intervention in his life and provide a driver, he clearly isnt a safe driver? It makes the club and player look terrible... From the board room to the pitch, there's a lack of discipline.

From my recollection it’s a totting up procedure from his first offence. The court system is backlogged by up to 3 years so it gave him plenty of time to legally drive whilst committing more offences.

I can't believe the law is so different in UK to Australia. Here, the police can suspend your licence on-the-spot. A court can formally disqualify you from driving, permanently, after which you have to re-apply to get your licence. Serious driving offences (negligent driving causing injury or death, etc) result in a life ban that cannot be revoked.

Serious offences here will result in immediate bans but it seems Fofana went over the speed limit every time he left the house. He was also undertaking on the hard shoulder in his Lambo which probably tells us all we need to know about his character.

On the flip side he did knock over Dean Gaffney and he could probably use that as mitigating circumstances 😀

unfortunately very few "normal" driving offences lead to prison, if hes been done for speeding, parking incorrectly, dangerous driving that didnt lead to an accident or injury etc then he will just get points, fines.

Im amazed the club hasnt stepped in and sorted it out, get him a driver, but theres been a distinct lack of discipline in the entire club at the moment so it shouldnt come as a surprise.

It’s hard to form a favorable impression of the Fofana we’ve seen at Chelsea coupled with the stupidity we read about in the papers. Wouldn’t be missed at all and we deserve better than what he has brought to the club. Actually, we are better than what he has brought.

We have Sarr and Acheampong and Colwill is going to be back fit again soon.

If there is ever a time to sell the clowns in the squad, now it is the moment to do it. Tosin, Fofana, Chalobah, Disasi and Badiashile must go. Invest the money in two quality center backs. Murillo, van de Ven, Kim Min Jae are some of the options that are accessible and we should look at.

I am just sick and tired of all the disastrous options we have at the center back currently. Excluding the youngsters Sarr and Acheampong. They are absolute dross, mid table quality.

He walked off laughing !! Should never play again

Cannot say I was surprised by him doing that. He does not take driving with the respect it is due, why would he this?
