Wesley Fofana at Chelsea *Official*

He'll need 3+ months of football to find his sharpness again, but how often have we said that. You could see early on he is below the level need as all I tried to do was foul a Brentford player (in a stupid position) yet still missed that. He seems so flappy on and off the ball, and his passing is far from crisp. Maybe still a player in there, but looks a long way off.

It looked like he was running in slow motion for the first goal we conceded.

Quite sad to see actually as it’s not his fault, he didn’t pick himself.

70 million in 2022 for an elite level defender is fine.

But hes not that. 🙁

Someone at the club thought so. 🙄

Don’t worry everyone. Colwill is out for the season, Fofana is all over the show, Badiashile is bad and Chalobah is not terrible, most of the time. But we have internal solutions for our defensive issues.

Dare i say he looked a little more decisive yesterday until he ran out of steam.

What we really needed yesterday was for someone to step up and take control like an elite level central defender might in such circumstances, with 10 men, terrible conditions 2 goal deficit.

The only positive from yesterday. Under sh*t conditions, coping with sh*t tactical decisions, and still miles off being EPL match fit.

Hopeffully he did just run out of steam. I feared that he had picked up another injury when I heard he asked to be subbed.

Best thing we can hope for this season is Fofana stays fit and find form. At his very, very best, we probably aren’t losing out on that much from Colwill injury.

Will it happen though? We’ll see.

Fofana and lavia get hang nails and miss months. They were not built for the rigors of professional football.

I actually think Fofana is one of the worst members of the squad. He takes up a place in the squad and pretends to be almost fit then pretends to be a top notch defender then gets injured again and again.

Sterling and Disasi are at least removed from the squad and most of the underperforming youngsters at least stay fit and available for some of the time.

No club or manager can see him as anything other than a distraction.

He's no more use than an ornament.

Sums up his time at Chelsea. Concussed via a punch from his own goalkeeper. There were risks when we signed him as he had injury issues at Leicester too. At some point you would think we move on from him.

That made me laugh. About the only thing the keeper didn’t miss also.

Premier League's worst driver revealed as star thrashes his Lamborghini down motorway in 'ridiculous' overtaking moves

Fofana was already suspended from driving before this. The bloke is a complete w**ker. I cannot stand people that do this type of sh*t. He's lucky he's not serving a prison sentence, because at this point, he deserves it. Why wait until he kills somebody before punishing him more severely?

Brain dead idiot. He should be put in prison, for he is a danger to society.

These young guys have zero intelligence. "I didnt know it was wrong, i learned a valuable lesson"... absolute bo**ocks. Lucky he has not gone the way of Antonio, or even worse, Jota.

I’m sorry but this is where the ‘justice’ system and the club really do fall horrifically short.

Misha is currently banned for being administered a substance that would only benefit himself but not put anyone else in danger.

Fofana has on NINE separate occasions shown a disregard for the law and safety of others. Contract should be terminated and jail time is needed.

Throw him behind bars so we have just cause to cancel his contract and sue him. Only chance we have of ever getting him off the books and getting any money back on him.

Colossal failure of a transfer and the bloke seems like a very unlikeable w**ker.

Yet another rash, morally bankrupt w**ker, who contributes nothing to the club yet thinks he's above the law.

The club are not without blame for this sort of thing, either. This is exactly the situation (maybe 6 or 7 offences ago...) where you need older, experienced mentors to pull him aside and tell him to button up. Neither coach nor "senior" players have the ability to do that, however, and the club will not step in with penalties for fear of devaluing their "asset".

Don't need a jail sentence to have "just cause" as even a suspension is sufficient. All standard contracts would have some 'disrepute' clause that allows a club to take this action unilaterally.

The club won't do it though, because we would have to eat the entire PSR cost immediately and there is no prospect of recouping more than a year's wage anymore.
