We just had to get Lukaku didn’t we? When all the signs pointed it to being a horrific decision and we couldn’t wait simply one year before Haaland was available?

We had to splash 100m on a donkey because we knew no patience whilst City are reaping the rewards of it and now have a potential Premier League great.

Honestly makes me sick.

We had absolutely zero chance of signing Haaland. It was all smoke. He was set on City. He only wants the best teams in his career in each country he will play in. City-Madrid and then whenever gets his final years.

I’d genuinely be happy to stop the season now, give everything to City and just pause the sport for ten years. How the flying piss, buck and a fart is anyone going to get near this team at the moment?

They’re so far and ahead of everything and everyone domestically that it’s almost like a Super League would be a fantastic idea… for them… so they can go and play against the top sides from across Europe and we can have w competitive league again.

Mind you it’s not their fault we’ve spent more money than them but aren’t fit to lace their boots. FairPlay that team.

As you said we've spunked the money over the years but never had a world class coach beyond Jose in his prime and even Carlo.  But even Jose made mistakes in letting young players go; there again who knows how these young players would work out in the future.  Hopefully we have learned the mistake and keep them on board.  Boehly bought several youngsters in the summer, Potter needs to stick with the plan and ensure we have patience for the next couple of years with these kids.  Or City, assuming they keep Pep, will be Champions for many years to come.

And probably win the ballon d'or as well.

Messi is having a good season, if he keeps it up the it will be a foregone conclusion unless Haaland does something extraordinary.

Benzema will win it this year. Doesn't matter what Haaland and Messi do right now.

And yet people keep moaning we should have signed a playeer who had zero interest in us.

Makes you wonder how they managed to drop two points at Villa LOL

The reason why United get battered by the likes of City and Liverpool is because their pride gets in the way. The will always try and go toe to toe with them instead of accepting that those two teams have the better footballers and they will need to adjust their tactics to get anything out of the game. Villa caught City on an off day and they don't feel ashamed to adjust their tactics.

Can either of you post such reports? All reports suggested he was open for the move. This issue was his release clause not being active on top of his absurd wage demands for himself and his father + agent. His entire package would of been in excess £300 million per reports.

City wanted Harry Kane, couldn't get him. Were patient and got Haaland.

We wanted Haaland, weren't patient, and got Lukaku. Now have to beg Inter to take Lukaku off of us.

Dont think achievements in the french league count for much unless he wins the CL.

Hat-trick for Haaland.

Seems that's the norm now for him...if he carries on like that he'll have well over a hundred!

I agree but there have been a few times he's won it and you scratch your head. It's not what you know or how you do, it's who you know. It's like him and Rolando simply just shared it.

God, City have ruined football, really. How can everything just be so perfect for them. Depressing. It’s like a kid on Fifa with all the money cheats and playing on easy mode.

No he wasn’t, his dad recently came out & laid everything down. Alfie Haaland: "On our list, I think City is the best team. Bayern is number 2. We have Real Madrid as number 3, PSG number 4. We also have some English teams other than City who are quite good - Liverpool and Chelsea. Also, there is Barcelona. They are sort of in the same row. We had zero chance.

All Tuchel had to do was not sign Lukaku, and keep scouring the market for an alternative.

The odds on Haaland scoring a hat trick in any game must be incredibly short now

They have the Saints at home next weekend...best get your bets on now.

Probably said that about us in 2004

Would we have even stood a chance? The fact he's a childhood Leeds fan alone would have probably ruled us out.
