In last year 343, I probably think it will be 4-6 but probably 8 this season.

I saw one game where Haaland touched the ball maybe 10 times and scored a hattrick and It reminded me when we played palace and rom touched the ball maybe 7 times and we simply couldn't attack whatsoever.

Yeah but that is Lukaku, he is nowhere near Haaland levels.

Havertz being mentioned as generational alongside Haaland is almost an insult.

I think that tag was invented by our dysfunctional recruitment team to justify the silly money we paid for him.

But put him in this current city team and I suspect he'll have way better numbers.

Didier was much more I'd say. He had the heart and soul you need for a battle. It all looks good when you're scoring for fun and everything looks great. We're yet to see how Haaland responds when the going gets tough. Didier was precisely the player for such situations.

Fair point! But let’s be realistic Drogba had only one exceptional season. He is more a club legend than a PL one. Haaland is destined to be a football legend.

Haaland is still only 22 ! He has 172 goals in 212 games at club level, and 21 in 23 in Internationals.

Drogba, at the same age, had 8 goals in 48 games at club level, and hadn't yet made his international debut. In his whole career, he scored 297 in 679 for club, and 65 in 105 for Ivory Coast.

Where Haaland could end up is quite frightening ...

Statistically, Haaland is on another planet at the moment. Its pointless comparing him to anyone. It'd be interesting to see what tactics opposing teams will use to cut his supply line.

He is clearly better but my point is more about our team simply cannot function if our st didn't get involved heavily in build up.

If you watch walker positioning this year compare to last year, you can see that he is not sitting as rcb as he did last year. He pushed up almost as dm. This allow Haaland to be Haaland. I want to say I don't know why Tuchel did not do this last season but Tuchel used more 442 hybrid this season and it was just a disaster without Kante.

City has scored the most goals in pl almost every season under pep. So yeah, good luck finding tactic.

Shutting down a striker is different than shutting down the entire attack. The hallmark of City's success is that they've found effective solutions for every problem.

Not a huge number in the Wolves managerial talent pool, if you don't count those who have better jobs or who they've sacked already. Think it's time for our boy Rui to get a go:

A spectacular combination of Premier League rejects playing for Besiktas tonight. Nathan Redmond and Dele Alli are playing behind Wout Weghorst (briefly of Burnley). Also starting are Arthur Masuaku (scorer of that ridiculous West Ham winner against us last year) and Roman Saïss.

As a cherry on top, they have Rachid Ghezzal (Leicester's first terrible attempt at replacing Mahrez), Cenk Tosun and Gedson Fernandes on the bench, and they have Valérien Ismaël (former very good Barnsley manager and very bad West Brom manager) on the touchline.

Poor effort in comparison from Fenerbahçe: Enner Valencia and João Pedro up front, plus Batshuayi and Alioski on the bench. Boring...

Would love to see Cristiano Ronaldo appointed as a player/manager and start himself every game and never subs himself out.

City play with such ease it’s criminal

I remember a few years ago when City were running away with it and then met Wigan in the FA Cup, Wigan were a league lower and knocked them out thanks to a cracking Will Grigg goal.

City still won the league yet had a wobble after that.

My point is that they have been doing this for a while now, with and without Haaland. It is just easier with Haaland.

Håland has 17 goals in 11 appearances so far this season. He already outscored both Havertz and Lukaku's whole last season, in just 11 matches. Obviously we don't have De Bruyne nor Foden but somehow whatever Man City buys it's almost a guaranteed success...

Bernardo Silva from Monaco = star player in the PL, Cancelo from Juventus = One of the best full-backs in the league, Diaz from Portugal = one of the best defenders, Haaland = super striker... Whenever they really needed to strengthen some position it just simply worked, they never had a Bakayoko in any key position.

It's because of effective recruitment amd developing players. Hate to say it but many here expect every player who plays for us to be the "finished product"(whatever that means). Players develop throughout their careers and its down to the coaching staff to provide the tools for that. Somehow almost every player we sign appears to be a misfit and their performance level either stagnates or goes downhill with time. I suspect it's down to the coaching setup at the club.

Whoever was coaching Hazard needs to wake up or come back or something, if such an ability is possible to have as a coach, or we just got lucky with Eden because he grew into the best PL player at some point in time...

KDB, Bernado Silva to create chances Haland it's just not defendable for most teams. The amount of chances those guys create, I bet even Werner would score 20+ goals a season with those players behind him. They are way ahead of us and most teams, unless Pep has another brain fart they should win the CL on top of the league. Haland was never going to join us, that's why his agent demanded ridiculous package even Roman could not afford. I do dread the day we play against them, we play a back 4 like yesterday we'd concede half a dozen on a bad day.

Hazard is the type of player you sign once a decade. I remember every major club wanted to sign him like they wanted Haaland and we were really lucky he chose us. But teams don't rely on signing Hazard like players every time. A world class player won't choose you every time unless you're real madrid. Clubs need to develop the promising players they sign and improve their game to succeed. We sign such promising players but they stop developing once they're here.

Almost finished Arsenal’s All or Nothing. Anyone seen it? I like Arteta in it but sometimes his speeches are abit tiresome and cheesy.

Hard for someone to take seriously, but the Arsenal squad are young and impressionable. Its no wonder they are behind him.
