March 1, 20242 yr There's alot of talk about us not paying over 150k in wages, just rumours and all that but it makes sense. Surely PSG or any other top club will come in and trump that considerably? Just can't see this happening unless he really really wants the move. Gyokeres makes alot more sense due to his clause being alot more favourable and I can't imagine him being on alot of money. We're going to have so much competition when it comes for strikers though so its not a given we'll get either of them due to our league standing.

March 1, 20242 yr I love how this is exactly like the Caicedo situation. Oh he really wants to join Chelsea, and yet they sign a contract extension in January which makes joining Chelsea all the more difficult.

I have listened to Osimhen as well, and it is all about the money. If PSG come in with dough to replace Mbappe, all this Chelsea talk is pure waffle for clicks. Still the podcast is going great guns, eh?
March 18, 20242 yr stay far away from this bum, hideous player. Arsenal spunking 100m on him would be hilarious because he will flop
April 2, 20242 yr There's reportedly a clause in his renewal which allowed him to agree with another club and leave in the summer. It's already done allegedly. Arsenal or PSG I reckon. Edited April 2, 20242 yr by Sconnie Blue

May 5, 20242 yr Surely that's more than his buy out clause? Osimhen is class but I can't help but think there's better value for money out there.
May 5, 20242 yr He was bang average v Roma last week. In a bang average game. Pedestrian doesn't begin to describe it.
May 5, 20242 yr 14 goals in 22 Serie A games this season which isn't bad at all, especially considering Napoli have been a mess this season with the awful managerial appointments after Spalletti left them in the summer.

Bear in mind that Serie A is, in general, a level (sometimes several) below the PL. I watched Bologna v Torino the other night. 4th v 10th. It was mid-table Championship stuff at best.

There's such a weird snobbery in this country about Serie A.

They play high-tempo, challenging, tactically astute football. More power to them. I live in Italy, I see a lot of their football. Try watching more than the occasional game.
May 5, 20242 yr DiMarzio is also pretty reliable in Italy so it makes it all the more worrying. That is an awful deal.

"isn't bad" is definitely what you want to hear when paying over 100 million for a striker. Pfft, have some people on here learned nothing about buying strikers from that league?

However Nini on Blue lions speculated that the young player in quest is Casadei. Which would make the total deal worth about 150mill euros.
