In the first circumstance Tuchel was the reason we got into a position to rely on Tottenham.

In the second we had 5 tournaments to juggle while Arsenal and Spurs only had one each and even then we didn't "just about" scrape it, we secured it with two home games to spare.

We got top 4 with two games to spare because both Arsenal and Spurs were dropping silly points two. It's like no one wanted top 4.

Anyway the sooner Potter realises Mount playing with Havertz in attack kills us, the better. If those two had the spark of Felix, we would be winning alot more games.

I don't get why this is considered groundbreaking. Ofcourse we were all dropping silly points, else we'd be in the title race and not the top four one. And the main reason it became something resembling a race from our side was because the Arsenal game where them playing once a week all season and us juggling 5 competitions finally told.

How often does teams with our points haul of last season or more miss out on top 4? I'd wager next to never.

And what are you going to say at the end of this season, that it's like nobody wants to be in relegation so we must do it?

Mount is the only player that was bailing out Potter's attack, even yesterday his freekick resulted in a lucky deflection and a goal. There is nothing for him to realise there.

Exactly the double standards between how Tuchel and Potter are viewed are ridiculous.

Can we please stop the narrative that there were fans who want Potter to stay also wanted Tuchel sacked.

The vast majority of fans either wanted Tuchel to stay until Xmas or longer.

And the reason he was sacked had anything to do with the performance of the team.

There are no double standards when people want to give Potter the benefit of the doubt.

Never understand when this reasoning gets thrown out to be honest and I’ve heard it now for Sarri , Lampard and Tuchel. Teams going for 4th place drop points, there’s a reason they’re going for champions league qualification and not the league title.

Chelsea got 74 points last season , which I believe would be enough for top 4 in nearly every premier league season ever, so in reality it’s not like spurs or arsenal dropping points was anything we don’t see year in year out during a top 4 battle.

And now we're not even that. We are lower midtable. The players don't want to play for this manager, this manager can't coach for any team with title aspirations and the senior management team can't replace a whole squad in under a month.

This is exactly the problem all lower table teams face every year. This is what happened to Blackburn, Everton, Watford etc etc. All that leads to is relegation

Look at the bigger picture instead of short term every time.

Don't see the point in sacking him, anyway. What is a new manager going to do with this team? It is just a very weak side that has no place challenging for top four. That just needs to be accepted this season.

Numerous reasons.

1. 10 points from relegation and if we continue playing as we are it's a matter of time.

2. Whatever you say about the players and I'm not buying that they are all finished, they are all assets, and right now their value is tanking.

3.we just cannot continue like this, it cannot be the whole squad so unless we bring someone in over Potter he has to go.

I just never got this appointment, 5 year deal 20 mil to buy out, and if there are no get outs it's monumentally stupid. He should have been sacked 3 games ago but he is English.

Positive is we will be a snip to buy when Roman comes looking in 5 years.

20 trophies with that blueprint.

And no league title challenge for 6 seasons. No philosophy, no structure no style of play shocking recruitment and scouting.

The new ownership trying to change this and i want to give a manager time and have a manager who builds for the long term.

You actually think Potter will have us challenging anytime in the next 2 years ? That is some vision you got.

Yeah change it for the worse. Sorry but this support for Potter is crazy. He is clearly lost and that's not going to change. I feel sorry for him he shouldn't have been considered in the first place.

Id like to see him given time to find out, thats the whole damn point. Did you think Arteta was going to challenge for the league when he was finishing 8th twice, course you did.

Last 4 seasons under 3 managers in the EPL, scraped top 4, scraped top 4, scraped top 4, scraped top 4. But sacking Potter is the answer!, jesus christ.

Has this cycle actually happened since when villas boas was sacked ? Or just a figment of your own imagination to try justify the current form. By the way I’ve never wanted any Chelsea manager sacked until potter.

His done a good job every-way he has been. One of the most sought after coaches in England. He did a very good job at Brighton, playing better football than we were.

I saw his Brighton team outplay us twice last season.

Football has moved on, hiring and firing managers isn't the answer.

Your missing your own point top 4 top 4 top4 champions league world club. Its Chelsea football club not the Potter fan club.

We weren't getting top 4 under TT this season either!! Years of bad recruitment, a mismatch of different manager signings, average squad is the reason we are in this mess. But lets blame it all on Potter 🤣 . All those things i mentioned are catching up with us while other teams have improved.

Sure.

But the problem is that we should be in the "bounce" section of that chart right now. Instead we are in a whole new section called "relegation-candidates" so perhaps that suggest the manager is far from good enough when he can't even get a bounce out of us like anyone else?

Ask yoruselves this. Despite all the injuries, if we had Guardiola, or prime Mourinho, or Alex Ferguson, or another top top manager - would we be playing better? or would we still be seeing the same sideways, backwards passing, no creativity, constant mistakes, no motiviation, etc..,.?

If the answer is no, we'd be doing better, then we have to get him out and get someone better in.

Might be because we have had loads of injuries, hard fixture list and a red card last night and shocking GK error that cost us. These same players have let other managers down, but again its Potter fault isn't it? 🤣

I'm Potter in. But Jesus my patience is running thin with how the team is doing.

I'm closing my eyes until the end of the season. I'd rather we finish 16th than carry on with the merry go round. And I don't know how invested I'd be if we had Poch as manager.

Ultimately, if Potter goes I want every man and his dog in world football to see him as a failure. I want any incoming coach to see "f**k this team is good, the players are class, it is the manager who was the problem". When that happens, no manager is going to turn down the gig.

We aren't there yet.
