Another Winger! - Noni Madueke

Wouldn't say fighting, but he caused another conversation. From what the live feed it looked like he was debating with Nkunku and won the debate, with Reece even coming and taking Nkunku away. But then as Madueke put the ball down, Tosin came and had a very short word which ended up with Tosin taking the ball and giving it back to Nkunku and Madueke walking off.

There had to be something in it, as I think Nkunku made a bit of a point of giving Noni the second pen.

It's another case of him needing to manage how it looks, rather than the action itself being poor. It was definitely more civilised than the mess we saw last season and I think its good that he wants to put himself out there and be that guy. He just needs to be careful that his manerisms and attitude convey that too, instead of coming across a little moany and stubborn which he can at times.

Yeah so Maresca has come out and said he told Tosin to go tell Madueke that Nkunku is the penalty taker. Confirmed that the decision is his and not the players on the pitch. He went on to say when Palmer is back he'll take all penalties.

Ah perfect even better, hadn't seen that.

Yeah, commentator said tosin relayed a msg from maresca that Nkunku takes it.

But agreed, I do like that he gave it to noni for the second. Hope Nkunku doesn't get in trouble for that.

For a few minutes after the first pen I definitely saw him sulk a bit. Wasn't making that extra effort. Only lasted a few minutes though.

Want to see how he does at LW given Sterling/Mudryk are useless and Palmer needs to have that RW on lockdown.

Think you've probably got more chance of seeing Nkunku on the left, Palmer in the middle and Madueke on the right

Be an absolute waste seeing Nkunku as a touchline winger.

I don't disagree, looks like the manager like inverted wingers too though.

I'm sure last year it was always the right footed Mavididi on the left and the left footed Fatawu on the right. Can one of the Leicester fans on here confirm?

Madueke needs to accept that he isn't the first or even the second choice penalty taker in the team. It's Palmer then Nkunku. It's how it is and he needs to be a team player and accept it. If he wants goals, then he needs to work on it in open play which is still very inconsistent.

Love how Maresca decided that day one whereas Poch just let them dealt with it anticipating no consequences what so ever...

Exactly...

Poch has always looked like that nurturing mother figure the way he treated the kids, which is fine at first, just kids. Lol

I can never rate him as a tactician though.

Agreed...nkunku needs to stay in the middle with Jackson left, Palmer right, guiu up front.

Noni is a super sub for me. He's good but still needs to mature the fk up and try and distinguish when to be selfish and when to be selfless.

I completely agree if maresca was the manager last season.

Sterling would have been 1, Enzo 2, jackson 3.

No chance a player who basically had his debut season can ever take a penalty.

I disagree bud, Maresca knows palmer quite well. I think Palmer was the penalty taker when maresca was in charge of city's development squad too (with palmer in it obviously. Lol)

Poch could of quite literally had the GK run around aimlessly in midfield during a game and Bob would find a defence for it and say "all managers do this" whilst posting a laughing emoji.

Would probably been more productive to have had Sanchez doing that rather try to actually play as a goalkeeper.

Madueke ---- Maresca mentioned him in an interview the other day as someone who he hadn’t been convinced by when arriving but who has made progress.  There is serious interest in Noni Madueke from Newcastle.  If the offer is good, the club are willing to let him go.

Maresca has apparently ostracized three players and Butch Casadei will likely return to Italy.  anybody have any idea who the other two are?

I’m not convinced he’s ever going to be able to improve his end product but having said that we don’t really have much options for right wing unless we plan on keeping Angelo?
