Come on Poch, yesterday's game couldn't have been a bigger message to you that we need to change it up a bit.

I think its worth remembering that he's been giving two chances to start recently and he ended up having a stinker both times (Liverpool & Palace) and had to be hooked at half time. Coming on towards the end against tired legs is something entirely different to starting.
All for him getting more chances but generally he's not taken his chances that well when he's been in the starting line-up and that's really the name of the game for these youngsters, you got to impress when you get your chances.

I didn't think he was that bad against Palace, he made an error that was just as bad as Gusto's that led to the goal. But he was one of our only attackers that looked dangerous in that first half.

The cup games he's started in he has played well, like against Villa. At this rate Sterling doesn't warrant a start over him, after yesterday's game, now is the perfect time to change it up.

Just look at the minutes Madueke has played compared to everyone else in this list, and he's got 5 goals this season which is impressive.

What concerns me is if the kid doesn't score or grab an assist right off the bat he gets subbed off

Off the Bat?  Noni hasn't managed a single assist or even created an actual chance in the league since he signed for us.

Quick feet are always good against tired legs but there's absolutely no intelligence or creativity in his game so why would you ever start him?

That's all competitions, he's got an assist in the FA Cup.

He's had a small sample of games compared to most, and he's done pretty well. I would rather play him than Sterling at the moment, simple as that. Not saying he's a going to be a worldie or even a great player, he's got plenty to prove but we should give him a chance to prove it.

How is Harvey Elliot still not called up to the senior squad?

Southgate has his favourites.

Rashford, Maguire, Henderson, Phillips only gets dropped when he leaves City.

It will cost England because Southgate has failed to spot young players that have come through and are better and more reliable than these players.

The Palace game he was harshly done by. He was no worse than Gallagher, Palmer or Jackson in the first half. But he was the fall guy. In fact first half he created the only opportunity we had in the first half, which was a very good pass for Gallagher but Gallagher missed it, which he should have converted.

He is a player who needs a run of games to shine. It is difficult for a player to showcase their ability if they aren't given a run of games to show what they can do.

Add Curtis Jones too who’s probably been Liverpools best midfielder this season.

Don understand the calls for Jones and Elliot. Both have less than 1000 Premier League minutes this season. If they're not regulars for their club you can't expect them to be getting England call ups.

Really good performance from Madueke tonight for the U21's. POTM and two cracking goals

We really have to persevere with this lad. He is very raw but with game time he will offer us so much more than Sterling.

that's not much..I would rather have him starting instead of Sterling every game

What is wrong with this guy? He can produce moments of brilliance and then he plays like sh*t. He couldn't even control the ball at times today, he kept leaving it behind him. Then he would pass like he was off balance. Does he take a couple of shots before playing or does he get stoned? Either one really because that is what he plays like. Or is he another one who thinks he is better than he is and tries to play with arrogance but just ends up making a fool of himself.

Beats me, but when he is on the pitch then more often than not he demonstrates why he can't trusted to be a starter ...

I guess there is a big difference between doing it in the PL vs doing at for England U21 against the mighty Azerbaijan and Luxembourg !

He's just bang average. Every single winger in the Premier League can come up with a moment here and there and Madueke is no different, he's a middle of the pack Bournemouth level player.

At the moment he gets most of his minutes from the bench, and I don't see that changing soon. Hasn't shown enough consistency to start regularly.

Needs a season long loan move to get some momentum.

That could go either way though, as we've seen with some of our other players. If it goes the way of Santos or Broja it will only set him back further.

Needs a run of games. Hard to feel settled and confident when you know you will only get limited time to show what you can do.

100% there is a very good player in there. I would play him ahead of Sterling every single time.

He makes it really hard to give him chances and a run out when he can't even do the basics properly.
