Another Winger! - Noni Madueke

I like Madueke. He shows a bit of passion and urgency and no shortage of skill. We MUST continue to start him.

I believe you're right, he should be given the trust and the role of a starter.

The way I see it, next season is his time to fully breakthrough and shine, Palmer can and should play as the central attacking player.

Really wish his passing was better cause his other attributes for a winger are really promising.

I recall Mudyrk making a great pass in behind for Jackson I think it was v Everton, if that was Noni he most likely doesn't even see the pass and just keeps dribbling. Hope things like that get ironed out once he's more familiar with the team pattern and movement.

I don't think that's right. Noni has a significantly higher EPL pass success percentage than Mudryk. 77.1% for Mikky. 87.2% for Noni. Against Sheffield United Noni's pass success rate was 94.9%!

I'm referring more to passes in behind hence the Mudyrk example, not the simple sideways passes.

I've never bothered to look into the actual stats but I'm pretty sure the reason Mudyrk's is that low is due to his passing being more direct and risker, probably has much higher key passes, etc.

That's how I see it too. Mudryk has an eye for a through ball to create an opportunity.

In the first 5 to 10 minutes against Everton Madueke made a dribble to the dead ball line and cut back a great ball across the 5 yard box. It was everything you could ever ask from your winger. Real quality. Unfortunately we had no centre forward to provide the finish it deserved.

I have no problem with Madueke's passing or chance creation. I have more of a problem with Jackson's forward movements, anticipation and finishing. But hopefully that will improve.

Can see him ending up at a side like palace all style no substance

Absolutely. And Cole Palmer is a one season wonder.

Cole has consistently shown he’s got the quality unlike Noni

First season. Maybe EPL managers will have different tactics to contain him next season.

How do you know Noni hasn't got the quality?

Like everyone here I Hope he does start producing goals and assists on the regular, just don’t see that regular quality from him though, he’s far from the biggest problem in the team anyway just an opinion.

Ignoring the laughing, I didn’t think he had a good game. He tried of course with his dribbling but just didn’t work.

The amount of times he missed runs in behind with a dink over the top or a through pass was a bit frustrating too. I know one of them was Jackson getting on the end of it but still attempt it.

I do rate Madueke, but that's twice he's made us look like a f**king joke now with his antics in the short run of games he's been having. Christ it's only been two.

Look how much that game meant to most of the players, then he's stood their laughing. Like Sconnie said he showed more emotion in wanting to score a penalty whilst being 4-0 up in a game. It just screams a me me me attitude. These f**king players man.

I was watching MOTD this morning and it wasn't lost on me that, unfashionable as he may be, 24 yo Brian Mbeumo is ten times the player Madueke is at 22.

It's actually the third time. He wasn't happy about Palmer taking the penalty against United either.

Imagine being Palmer in these situations. You're trying to score in the most pressure situation, and these prats try and argue with you about why they should take the penalty instead.

You have to wonder how many chances we've ruined due to selfishness in the team.

It's hard to like Niko and Noni at the moment when they are behaving like this right in the open, we crucify Sterling for this sort of behaviour.

And I feel guilty because I'm always on Gallaghers back yet I've yet to see Conor behave this way, he's always playing for the team.

Horrible off the ball. Refused to track back on multiple occasions, especially for their 2nd goal. On days like today when our CB is playing RB, he can't be that selfish. he needs to contribute. Attacking was a mixed bag, the finish was decent and he was a threat when cutting inside, but a lot didn't come off for him.

f**kin nuts if we let him go. So much natural talent. And the only quality finisher we have other than Palmer.

Ah how can you say that with a straight face when we have Mudryk?

His ability to hit the corner flag from so many angles is quite splendid.

Sensational tonight. Reminded me of Robben. Please give him a run in the team to let him build confidence and consistency.

He’s never going to get a long run of games he needs cause Palmer is better on the right, shame he can’t play on the left cause mudryk and sterling are awful right now so it’s up for grabs.
