January 14, 20242 yr I would put it this way if that was against us I would want a red card given to the opposition player.

I know footballers aren't the smartest tools in the shed but maybe don't commit the exact same challenge..? We can't ask a defender not to challenge for 50/50's

January 23, 20242 yr Poch overworking his core players is a tale old as time. Injuries have forced his hand but there's no reason he should have played the full 90 against Preston, surely Dylan Williams would have been more sensible once we were 2-0 up.

My question is wtf are we doing in training between matches? Muscle overload in a season with no european football gives me the assumption our recovery is absolutely sh*t.

January 23, 20242 yr Love Malo and I think we really miss him when he's not in the side. He gets up and down the right flank with such energy, such enthusiasm, such... such... such gusto...!

Perhaps he's moonlighting as a hod carrier or nipping off to do a day's hard labour down the mine to make a few extra quid on the side?

I don't think Poch is the reason for this, it must be something deeper.

Maintaining sharpness shouldn't come at a cost of players, some who don't even play mind, getting muscular injuries. IE Lesly, Madueke, Chalobah, Nkunku and Lavia. There is also Gusto who can't play more than 4-5 games with the same muscular injuries occuring.
January 23, 20242 yr Gusto's injury history before he even set foot in Cobham ,... These injuries were all Pochettino's fault as well ...
February 7, 20242 yr Makes me honestly forget James is still a player for us. He’s getting better and better with each game.

He’s a tenacious player who won’t be bullied. Has got some top drawer football skills as well. I like him and even though I know James is a class act sometimes he can become a bit casual. We all know that if James gets fit and can stay that way he will take his place back.
February 7, 20242 yr I said at the start he looked good at the beginning of the season but you could tell he was nervous, static, taking minimal risks. He's grown into his role far more now and he's having fun on the pitch. He makes a few errors, he's a bit reckless, but he offers a lot going forward which is exactly what we need. He's going under the radar a bit but I think he's consistently putting in good performances, so credit to him.
February 7, 20242 yr He's doing pretty well as a second choice, if our first choice is ever going to be ready. At his age, one expects some poor decisions and rash tackles, it's part of the learning curve. I much prefer a proper fullback than a CD filling the role, even at the expenses of defensive errors.
February 8, 20242 yr Him, Petrovic and Jackson are bargains. Nobody in the media will mention that though.
February 12, 20242 yr Is it just me or does the 20 year old Gusto look much much better than the supposed world class Ben Chilwell?
February 12, 20242 yr He’s been very hot and cold , maybe cold more than often than not but I see enough in him to make me think there’s a player to work with. Also assumed he was older than 20 which may explain his inconsistency
February 12, 20242 yr He's what I would expect from a young player. Inconsistent, but when they're good, they're really good. I'm yet to see the same from Madueke, Mudryk, Jackson and a few others.
