I actually wouldn't be against Frank as interim.

Problem is if he does well I'd fear he get the full time job and eventually it will inevitably go wrong and divide the fanbase again. The last few weeks of his first spell was probably the most toxic I've seen this place since I joined.

I'd hope that any talk with Frank about being an interim is coupled with a different job at the end of the season.

Are you calculating your age in human years or cat years?

Either way if your theory is correct I should be long dead. Looks like I really am immortal.

Tbf to him that Spain team aren't great. Their golden generation has been and gone. Now whether his achievements at Barca can be negated by having Suarez, messi and neymar, tbc, he did at least have the balls to tell messi he's going on the wing with Suarez up top and they were pretty dominant.

I think everyone stays on board as long as you keep winning. Results and trophies matter most to players. When you stop winning is when all the trouble begins.

Has everyone forgotten that Spanish World Cup mess already ?

Please give him a big swerve

International football is almost a completely separate entity to club football.

Germany was an even bigger mess yet Flick created one of the best club sides of recent times. Scolari had an excellent international record (in the 00's) with Brazil and Portugal only to make an absolute pigs ear of the job here.

I like the logic.

sh*t international manager equals top notch club manager.

And Steve McClaren isn't even in the running, mental 😁😁😁

I never said that, I'm just saying not being great in one doesn't necessarily translate to being not great in another.

It's a totally and I mean totally different job remit.

Luis Enrique's meeting with Chelsea went very well and they were delighted with what he had to say. A decision may still not come immediately as the Blues continue to evaluate other options.

Luis Enrique looking like he really wants it. Absolutely loved him as a player, fiery passionate, heart on the sleeve, but could also play too.

I think the midfield would need another piece or 2 if he did come. Too many carriers at the moment. Maybe he goes for someone like Zubimendi as the 6, with Macallister in that Rakitic role? Also think Mount would be great in a 3 man midfield, not sure what is going on with him at the moment though, almost like he is bring frozen out.

Nagelsmann probably still edges it for me, but I wont be disappointed if it is Luis Enrique, I think he has the personality that would win a lot of fans over here.

Yeah I know mate , just goofing around.

But remember when he came back from coaching in Holland speaking English with a Dutch accent ?

Is that how our Shed end  Val talks ?

Isn't Luis all about  that tikki takki f**king about for ages football?

Chelsea players are convinced that the next permanent head coach will be either Nagelsmann or Enrique, and there are also concerns among the squad over the possibility of Bruno remaining in charge until the end of the season.

I can assure you McClaren did not have a Dutch accent  But do I have one? Only one way to find out...

I’d have Lampard just to enrage all the Twitter morons who support an English team but get unreasonably angry when we have English players/staff.

With you on that, utter cretins, not just on social media though unfortunately.

Bruno insisted he will continue to do his best for Chelsea while he is needed, but admitted he could not enjoy his first experience of being in charge of the team for the Liverpool game.

“It is truly difficult to enjoy,” said Bruno. “It’s been really difficult, sad and disappointing, but I’ve been trying to focus on being the best professional.”

We need to get someone else in either permanent or interim. We can’t go to Real Madrid with Bruno.

Do you have any concerns regarding his chop and change systems? Or the reports he seemed to have some problem connecting with players and establishing authority?

The chop and change? Sure. But my biggest concern about Potter was never him changing formations, it's that his teams were woeful at scoring goals, back when people were complaining about Tuchel not getting the best out our attackers. Nagelsmann on the other hand is the opposite in that regard, all of his teams have been high scoring, with average attackers at Hoffenheim and Leipzig.

From the sounds of it a lot of Bayern players were shocked at Nagelsmann's sacking, it doesn't look like he lost the dressing room. I can't tell when it comes to authority, but judging by that dressing room speech someone posted above he doesn't exactly seem soft either.

The safest option on paper would be Pochettino, but I just think the fans won't warm up to him, and the atmosphere would become toxic quickly, like with Benitez. Not to mention the fact that he came 2nd in the French league with PSG is extremely worrying.

Yup, it would be Sarri-ball part 2, except Sarri has actually managed to get average squads playing great football at Napoli and Lazio, whilst getting good results. I geniunely have no idea why Enrique is being hailed as a world class coach.

Honestly I'd prefer Thiago Silva as player manager over an interim. It's a danger that with a few good results a completely unqualified interim gets appointed permanently.

Would love Lampard until the end of the season. There's little to lose for either party. As of now, we only have two meaningful games left this season, if we end up being able to make that four or five, we and he will have done great. If not? Who cares? It'll take a lot longer than a few weeks to turn around Graham Potter's Chelsea and none of this is on a caretaker. We get a manager for a while that undoubtedly loves this club and will fight for it with passion (really important coming after the That's Life era). And everyone involved gets to go out on better terms than last time.
