“Frank Lampard was back at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night alongside Chris Jones, a coach who worked with him at his previous clubs.“

Mail reporting that we could bring Lampard in as interim. I don’t see that happening but you never know.

Could do a lot worse than Lampard in charge until the end of the season, at least he will get Mount playing again. Bruno is a good bloke just like Potter, but I mean what's the point if you sack a manager, but gives his assistant the job? He literally just used the boy gave everything line, whether it was exactly what he meant, or just gave us a laugh.

I didn’t see anything different last night to suggest that Bruno could do a good job unfortunately. Nothing against him but it was much of the same.

We did play well, it’s just that we can’t score and this is a problem we’ve had for a few seasons now (though a bit more exacerbated at the moment).

If we decide we want Nagelsman but he wants to wait until the end of the season, Lampard would be a good choice for the last 10 games. Better than this Bruno guy, anyway. And we might actually see a bit of progress from Mount again if we're lucky.

I think Lamps would be called in if the new guy wanted a break until next season. Todd has obviously reached out. He’ll be our new Guus!

That said, with Bruno drawing against Liverpool, Todd might want to save some cash and see how it goes!

As much as I wanted Lampard to stay back when he was sacked, I wouldn't want him to become an interim at the moment. I think that Bruno Salter is good enough until we get a more permanent coach, at least he played players in their positions last night, and that is a change from Potter. Unfortunately, I don't think that Lampard, as a coach, has shown anything since he left us to prove that he is better than Potter (though I loved some of the football we played under him). I can see some positives, Lampard could probably show our players how to score, but then defensively we'd probably regress. Also, this would probably divide again the fan base once he is due to go, and that is something we've had enough of lately.

🚨🛩️ | 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique has arrived in London today in order to discuss with Chelsea — he’s one of the candidates 🔵🇪🇸

ℹ️ The favorite candidate remains Julian Nagelsmann since Sunday, as talks over project will continue this week.

◉ Luis Enrique, landed in England as @jijantesfc called.

◉ He’d love to try an experience in the Premier League — and he’d be 100% keen on possible Chelsea job.

◉ Still no contacts with Pochettino or other options.

In talks, Luis Enrique explained that he has a high intensity and high pressing approach that suits the young players the club had signed. (@MiguelDelaney @Independent)

Enrique or Nagelsmann...both reasonably high profile managers. I am okay with either of them. Just because we just had German manager 7 months ago I would tip over to Enrique. His CV is pretty good. It can be described as failure what he did with Spain but I never thought they would win Euro's with their young lineup.

Has won La Liga and Champions League.

As an interim Frank might be a decent quick fix, the league and any European place is pretty much done and Frank does have the experience in Europe, especially from a player experience standpoint.  Wouldn't have him FT though, simply not good enough at this time in his career. Unless Todd and Co go out to left field, given the runners and riders listed its a mixed bunch....as is our squad.   As I have said previously the challenge that the Manager will have is a bloated squad of some of the worlds best young talent, and don't forget they are more coming in during the summer that are either currently on loan, or signed but still at their current club.  With all that young talent he will have a splattering of experience that will help create a balance, if he can integrate the young talent and the old together without pissing everyone off.

There has to be a summer 'Black Friday Sale', both for FFP and to raise funds for a striker and keeper.  No doubt the club may send some of the youngsters to the Youth set up, with a few on loan...so who is going to be selected and take the hot seat?  The young and up coming German?, the old Spaniard? the Argentinian who nearly pulled off a miracle at Spurs but failed at PSG, or someone from left field?  Who has the respect? The credentials of winning? yet able to integrate youth into the team, yet ruthless enough to drop the aged but able to work with the owners and share the same vision?   Its going to be a tough choice....personally I don't like the idea of the Young German, regardless of his Bayern experience, he probably won't get the support of the older players and by all accounts is pretty brash and reckless at times, not the profile that Todd is looking for I don't think; Enrique certainly has the work experience, a good tactician and probably will have the respect of many in the dressing room given his resume.  Potch might be the better fit overall, worked with youth, has a decent style of playing, knows the EPL; he just had a mentally weak minded squad of players at Spurs when it came down to the vinegar strokes; he won't find that here..we have winners, they just need some guidance.  And yes he failed at PSG....which manager hasn't?

Best of luck who ever comes in as the Ring Master at the CFC Circus....but there again he'll be working with a few clowns in the boardroom.

Hmm. Maybe just to change it up a little, but I would quite like to see Luis Enrique given a go now. Not sure I like the sound of Nagelsmann's Potter-esque tinkering.

On paper, we do have players that could be playing a similar style to City/(hate to say it but)Arsenal. And I think fans would be more patient with whoever comes in if they seem to be developing a fixed style of play.

Hopefully it'd be a less boring version of what Sarri played. We have a much better defence and midfield that when Sarri was here, too.

For mine any record Enrique has as manager of Barcelona should be set aside. Graham Potter could have won a treble with Messi, Neymar and Suarez as his front 3. Better to look at his time with Spain and perhaps with Roma as better examples. Okay without setting the world on fire.

I don't like the idea of Luis Enrique. His CV is biased by Barcelona's great team, but with Celta he did nothing different to what Potter did at Brighton and he has failed with Spains national team. He is one of the worst coaches Spain has had in the last 40 years in terms of winning % (the third worst winning % since 1982 in official competitions (excluding friendlies) according to the wikipedia https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Entrenadores_de_la_selección_de_fútbol_de_España and some Spanish newspapers). Lastly, I don't like the football he plays, I find it boring.

Real Madrid shares the La Liga table with Barcelona. Real Madrid in my books is a solid side.
