Klopp and Guardiola aren't playing with 3 of their back 4 being new to the team/league. Klopp and Guardiola have the luxury of potent attacks that can mitigate defensive frailties.

The formation is fine, it's what we saw in preseason and what we should expect to see. Now you can disagree with playing Levi at LB and Chilwell at LW and that's fine, but I don't really see an issue with him not trusting Mudryk or Cucurella. And with the injuries, Palmer just arriving, his options are limited.

Anyone calling him a serial bottler is a moron. He did fantastic work at SH and Spurs, playing some brilliant stuff along the way. Poch and his choices are far from being the determining factor in our current form. And seeing complaints after our young team shows expected inconsistencies will get tiring super quickly.

how can someone not winning the league as PSG manager then?

Leave the money discussion for the twitter morons. What does matter to anyone how much we spent if we spend it on potential.  Expectations are not set by the money spent. If Brighton went and spent 500m on 18 year olds, it doesn't mean they should be challenging. Getting 5th is quite literally, an improvement for us.

We are the youngest team in the league, with a brand new squad, and a brand new manager. Those are your excuses, and they are valid!

Well any club spending 1billion on young potential talent is in the mud. 5th is a massive success and we look so far off that. We are completely fecked.

Sigh...would you like me to argue as to why a manager who won Ligue 1 with PSG, did not win Ligue 1 with PSG? Give me 48 hours and I'll have something concrete.

yes I would like to know why someone failed to win the French league even once as PSG manager even though French league is a one team league

It is like someone failed to win the Bundesliga as Bayern's manager, even my dead grandma would have won the league with Bayern

We're not in the mud, and certainly not after a few games. 5th is success. We are not far off that, we've dominated every single game so far on metrics - which also doesn't mean there aren't big issues to solve, but those need time. We are not 'fecked'. We have 4/5 starters injured. Perspective.

if losing to Forest at home is not in the mud I dont know what to say

maybe when we lose to Luton away?

Cool. As I said, 48 hours. Right now all I've got is:

Pochettino, who won the french league, never won the french league because it's not Bundesliga.

Perspective okay.

We spend 500m in one window. We've had the financial opportunity to spend way more than any club in our division. You spend big to improve in the short term and long term. We haven't shown any improvement from last season at all.

5th is Clge qualification so would be massive.

Stats are a sugar coat. We are better stats wise but what you see is boring football unable to break teams down. No ability to pin teams in their own box.

Anyway your optimism is right but if we have another bad game Vs Bournemouth, your perspective will soon break. Ive seen it from many fans over the last few years with regards to the club and players alike.

Chelsea are like Kai Havertz right now. You expect more and eventually you realise that it's just utter rubbish.

Not even then 🙃

So when would it be? When we are in national league?

if you spend 1 billion and doesn’t qualify for Champions League two years in a row that’s a disgrace and nothing can persuade me otherwise

We have done just that, or is last season a distant memory?

Stats are not a sugar coat if you know what you're doing. We've pinned teams multiple times for sustained periods. I don't see boring football, but that's subjective.

My perspective will not break. That doesn't mean I wasn't thoroughly annoyed yesterday. So many little things that could have led to big chances, but my expectations are tempered.

Don't worry, if we are brilliant in our next game Poch wil be a genius.

Then if we lose after that he's sh*t

But if we then win the game after that one he will be a genius again

And so on and so forth etc etc etc.

Just glad we've had an " easy " start to the season 😂😂😂

I don’t agree.

High tempo, progressive football, that moves the ball forward with pace, creates overloads, and pulls defenders all over the place DOES break down a deep defence. Or at least, creates spaces for the more gifted places to exploit.

Our game yesterday, against west ham and for most of the last 5 years has been the opposite. Slow football with lots of sideways and backwards passes. We are a one trick pony, reliant on wing backs to create.

Of course, your argument that Messi unlocks defence is also true….but we don’t have one of those players who can do it consistently in the EPL.

But we didn't play slow. The midfield get the ball and can punch pass to wing easily. Once in the final third everything got stuck.

Madueke always take touches to slow down play. Don't get me started on murdyk. Sterling go the ball a couple of times and he is looking for support that does not exist (Nkunku).

If you want to play super fast similar how pool does where they will just get the ball wide and pump crosses you need to have threat in the box. Mane, salah and firmino are real threat in the box.

At no point this season will I call for the removal or sacking of Poch... There isn't anyone out there better to mould a team - however, I will call for the board to sell up and bugger off because its been a right ham fisted effort so far... I just hope it works out and we see progress towards the top half of the table... after last year, that would be an improvement.

We haven't improved from last season at all. After 4 games last season our only good performance was a 2-2 draw Vs Spurs similar to Liverpool. The rest were terrible defeats and scrappy wins. These first 4 games bar Liverpool have been terrible.

We haven't and can't pinned teams in. They sit back and wait for the counter. When you pin a team in you force their keepers into saves and the defence to aimlessly clear the ball. I've seen City, Arsenal, Utd and Liverpool do this to park the bus clubs a number of times but not us.

I wish yesterday was a blip that happens where more often than not 21 shots on goal will result in victory. Sadly, this performance from Chelsea is the norm and you can tell by half time with a goal at most that we are going to be in for a super disappointing result.

I've always expected a top 5 finish and there are no excuses not to. We look a million miles off..3 points from the last 9 available. 1 win against the worst team in the league from 2 home games and 1 away game loss against 10 men is disastrous.

Yes from an attack point of view we were crap, but without Nkunku OR Chuki, our whole attack falls apart, with either one we are much more threatening, as Jackson has the partner he needs. And don't take anything away from Forest they defended brilliantly, and very determindly, and never lost focus. The only way to beat bus parkers, is to score first, then they have to become a bit more adventurous, and chances will open up.

"Pinning teams" is often a myth.

Teams like Forest and West Ham pin themselves as they have no intention leaving their box for most of the game.

The fact we manage to make mistakes and lose to these teams that leave their box a handful of times a game isn't an achievement.

Teams are very very happy to sit back against us because on paper we have probably the 4th or 5th worst attack in the entire league and struggle to break them down.

Spot on.

As @El regreso would put it "I'm not understanding all this Pochettino hate"

My prediction Palmer will start with either conor/Caicedo on the bench. Madueke n murdyk will still be on the bench.
