He needs to make better decisions moving forward, I'm not going to give up on him just be cause he had two bad games. It's clear there's potential there, however, I will be worried if things don't improve.

There is nothing to be worried. He has exceed expectations already.

Not had a good past two games but I still rate him, but he's certainly not helping himself with missing some of these sitters. I still can't get over the one he missed last game.

It was always mad to go into the season with him as our main striker. Absolute madness, in true fashion many went completely overboard on the back of a decent pre season but he's absolutely not good enough for a side with ambitions right at this moment.

I've posted this in the match thread but worth re-posting it here.

I really feel for Jackson. He can be a real player for us as we saw in pre-season and the first couple of league matches. BUT he isn't Drogba. He's 22 and playing in a new league. It isn't fair to expect him to do it on his own IMO. He needs a natural strike partner to share the load. And with Nkunku out for a long time and no set date for Broja to return, (and when he does, will he even be the same player?), Jackson is having to do it all and play every minute of every game. It is asking way too much of him much too soon.

No he isnt. He cant pass, cant shoot, cant stay on his feet, struggles to control the ball. He runs and works hard. Thats it.

I don't think that's fair, last two games aside he's looked comfortable on the ball. He was an absolute menace for West Ham and Liverpool. His finishing has been frustrating that I'll agree with but I wouldn't be so quick to say he's hopeless.

We will see - I of course hope I am wrong, but he doesnt to me look like he has a much of a football IQ or top end talent He looks to me, exactly what he has been so far. A hard working journeyman, who did pretty well pre season against the likes of Wrexham and half fit teams, but when it comes to the real deal, has been found to be painfully lacking.

Again - He was mooted with a transfer to Bournemouth a few months before we got him.

I feel like we've dance to this song before with Tammy Abraham and that ended up with several fans wanting him to be sold, I hope this time around people are more patient given the circumstances.

Blimey Jim. You're making him sound like Timo Werner!!

Werner is arguably the best attacker we've had since Hazard left.

Without Werner's runs, our attack looks completely toothless. Not to mention he actually got 20+ goal contributions in his 1st season, despite all the chances he fluffed

Just a young striker with one season in Spain, the problem is somehow people started to compare him with one our all time great. Of course we should have signed a more experienced striker if we were serious about competing, the blessing is we didn't spend 50M buying a 19 year old wonder kid striker.

Yes it's very arguable. Werner's Runs. It sounds like a laxative medicine.

We need a giroud, a Remy or a demba ba.

But why?

Tammy isn't talented enough for the highest level,  it was clear here and he's only proven that further at Roma. Selling him was the right decision.

Prior to Boehly ruining the club we were an elite club. Standards were high and Jackson has to meet those standards.  He's young but he'll have to prove he's good enough to play here or people will rightly want to see him moved on and replaced by a more proven player.

I'm also concerned about his discipline.

4 yellow cards in our first 5 games and now just one away from a suspension.

Maybe Jackson should read this

I did not know this before, but Jackson was firmly riding the bench as the back up to Gerard Moreno at Villareal for most of last season, and his run at the end of the season was because Gerard was injured.

We are asking a backup Villareal striker to be our star forward. No wonder he is showing signs of the pressure.
