Never did at Saints.

Early spell looked really good, second half of the season his scoring dried up and his confidence went a bit.

Just my belief, but we may never get a chance to see it. Depends on if he can get fit and the manager gives him a run if he can stay fit.

What is the difference between Dominic Solanke and Broja?

People wouldn't want the club to sign Solanke and Broja isn't a better player as yet. Love to be proved wrong but won't be with this one.

No idea where the Broja hype has come from after he looked poor on loan at Southampton,  poor for us when he's played and then suffered a massive injury and a knock.

He's a big strong boy but the idea that Broja is going to solve our issues is pure fantasy.

I expected him sold when Jackson came in as I expected us to have either Broja or Jackson as backup to a proven goal scorer we were going to sign later in the window and think Clearlake will cash in on Broja soon as he's 100% book profit

For me the season was over once we decided to go into it with only Broja and Jackson as our strikers.

The chance that he can stay fit if he play week in week out is very little.

I knew it would take a few games for fanbase to turn on him. Look at the comments in pre-season. He is struggling, but so are the whole team. I still like him and while he is not world-class, I can't believe fans are writing him off already. Just shows how little fan patience is. From hero to zero. The stark contrasts in opinion from July to now is amazing.

Absolutely mate. From a raw, exciting, full of potential player to completely useless within a few months.

Give him a chance FFS, was he even bought as an out and out striker anyway?

I really like so many of his attributes, commitment, turning and running at players. What is happening to him happened to players like Shevchenko and Torres at this club. I think you have to be a monster mentally to lead Chelsea's line. He does need to get among the goals, but sometimes, he will need protecting as he's raw alright.

I think the problem with Torres is even in his prime the line between a top striker and a fundamentally sh*t footballer was his burst of acceleration.

Even at Liverpool he had some utter utter stinkers against packed defenses.

All fair comment chap.

To add to Jackson's defence.. Eddie Nketiah hadn't scored in something like 27 games before his hat trick against Sheffield United who, alongside Luton are the leagues cannon fodder this season. Did Nketiahs lack of goals cost Arsenal their title shot last year?

What is a fair return for Jackson this season? I'd be happy with 10/15 league goals. big ask, big step up but should be doable for a EPL striker.

I really don't see the fuss with Nketiah tbh, I'm convinced his brace against a knackered Chelsea side saved his Arsenal career.

If I was Arsenal manager I'd play all of Jesus, Martinelli, Trossard and Havertz up top before i even looked in his direction.

He's a young, talented English striker playing for the goonies, who until last year were also rans outside the top 4. the only team capable of pushing City this year look like Liverpool.

Arsenal have spent millions this year on havertz and Jorginho and look worse for the spending.

but you know, the red tide of northlondon sh*t gets a free pass in the press, they're loved. sh*t side, sh*t stadium yet media love them. I can never decide which supporter base is worse, so best to hate all north London scum.

He didn't look poor on loan at Southampton, thats why many Prem league clubs were looking to buy him mainly West Ham.

You have to question the impact of his injury though.

Honestly another loan wouldn't be the worst idea.

The injury is a concern yeah, thats why i didn't mind us going for Wahi in the summer and maybe loaning Broja out.

I rate Broja highly he has big potential but its like our whole CF market last summer was waiting for him to come back.

At this rate, we'll be lucky if he gets 5.

Nketiah was with us for about 7 years from the age of 9, but no one can tell how a player will turn out. And Arsenal had goals spread around their team , and not concentrated on one target man.

I cant stand Arsenal or Spurs fans, but if Arsenal are sh*t with a sh*t stadium, I wouldn't mind being in their position and in their stadium

😂😂

Agreed. Højlund at United is having the same struggles despite being highly rated by many. It is hard to expect such an inexperienced striker to lead the line.

No idea how good he actually is but the every single forward/striker struggles for them. Most of them haven't scored or even provided an assist all season. Literally 0 goals and assists between most of them in the PL.

I looked it up:

Anthony - 0

Martial - 0

Rashford - 1 goal/1 assist

Sancho - 0

Garnacho - 0

Holjund - 0

Pellistri - 0

That's absolutely shocking lol ...

I just don’t understand what on earth happened to Jackson. He looked like a real player at start of the season, taking on players, making runs, fantastic build up play. It’s like he completely lost all of it overnight.

Confidence, Poch said as much in a recent presser about a fan shouting at him.

Go read the Gallagher thread for much of the same. Fans flip flopping their opinion on a gamely basis.
