Forgive me for being sceptical @Gol15, but you don't have the greatest record. You also used to gather a load of stats to back up the two guys who are now stinking the place out at Arsenal!!

I agree that I don't have the best record but not when it comes down to Havertz and Jorginho, they won us the CL after all. What they do now, well it's not really relevant. But like I said I agree with you overall, I believed that Morata would be amazing under Conte, I believed that Pulisic could be the next big star, I believed that Gilmour had what it takes to become a good midfielder for us and I thought that Ziyech would have 10+ assists per season.

All this doesn't warrant your little obsession with Toney and specially not after Jackson scored a hattrick against Spurs. Even when he had the first chance in the match, which was a saved shot, you could see that our Nicky is toying with the opposition defenders which means that he isn't super stressed like Werner was or that he loses his balance like Morata and Tammy, he's not afraid to take an extra touch and his last goal of the match showed it too.

I even said that I can agree that Osimhen might just be better than Jackson which is also a transfer target. And I'm sure he's at the very least closer to the asking price of Toney than Toney will ever be.

I, Gol15, am also Jorginho.

You left a bit out Gol, no thanks needed  :)

My worry with Nico is that he's pretty good against a high line, but will struggle, and has struggled, with low blocks/massed defenses.  He doesn't have the touch and I haven't seen enough consistency in the link up play.  I do think against Spurs he could have done a better job in passing on occasion to an unmarked man, including Mudryk (who seemed pretty hacked off by it, or in his own, way, depressed and sad.)

Just a very raw player, only broke into Villarreal's team after xmas. I think regardless of the long term project, there's 2 positions that you need to have nailed on quality. Goalkeeper, and Striker, personally I dont think either Jackson or Sanchez are at the quality needed to compete with the top 6. Maybe they will be in time, but we are Chelsea and we dont have 2 or 3 years to develop players in vital areas of the team.

Yes he scored a hatrick against the 9 man suicide line but there were another 7 or 8 occasions he made the wrong run, didn't time it correctly or missed an easy chance or pass when put through.  it was just a unique game in which he got more chances than he'll ever get in another game in his career and while he took some the ratio wasn't great.  In more normal games when he only gets a few opportunities we need more consistent quality.

Personally i rate his potential higher than Broja and think moving Broja on and bringing in a starting quality striker to play ahead of Jackson is the way to go but I don't think he should be leading the line week in week out for us.

Id argue we're not a big club anymore. Certainly in a rebuilding phase. It's obvious on the pitch despite what the owners say off it. If we can put a run of games together we may challenge for a top four, but I think top five is more realistic. Would mean we have to compete with Brighton, villa and Brentford styled teams for top 5 and we struggle against them.

Well tough cause he is leading the line for us already and he's only going to get better so that potential is actually being worked on as we speak.

Harsh given Broja's minimal game time. I also suspect Broja would have buried the half-a-dozen relatively simple chances Jackson has flubbed.

think its best to let the two of them build a professional rivalry... There is room for both in the side.

Based on what though? His record 6 goal season at Southampton.

There's a lot of unearned Broja faith and that's great he's our academy grad but I'd be surprised if he doesn't go the way of Di Santo, Solanke and Borini.

Seen nothing to even suggest he'll be good enough to be a squad player here and his injury record is a worry.

When we sign a new striker and we will I'd be very surprised if Mr Boehly doesn't look to move Broja on for that 100% profit.

On at least two occasions I saw Jackson pointing or calling for the ball when he was offside. No awareness

On a lot more occasions he made well timed runs but didn't get the pass as the players pissed about with it, same with Stirling. Our midfield and defenders were so slow to let passes go, it was ridiculous.

Our best attacking duo, Jackson (6 goals) & Sterling (4 goals, 2 assists).

We have been missing this, attackers actually scoring goals.
