The difference is that Drogba came to the PL as a 26 year old. Jackson is just 22 but people have no shame here, ever since D.Costa left we had problems with strikers so it's clearly not the player that is an issue here.
September 26, 20232 yr There was also a lot of great individual quality as well. - Duff and Robben bombing the wings. - Gudjohnsen in his spectacular supporting ST role. - Joe Cole entering some fantastic form that season. - And of course, prime Frank Lampard.

October 8, 20232 yr It's so good to have 2 fit strikers. Broja didn't have the best of his games, but done his part in the first half, and Jackson came on to put more pressure on the opposition in the second.

Neither do I. TBF he's much better suited to Serie A where things are a bit slower and he can hang around up front waiting for the ball to arrive where he wants it, then he just has to pull his peg back and let it go for a goal.

Lukaku is 20th all time PL goal scorer.

Not once did ever come close to getting anyone 20 goals a year and 75% of the goals he scored were against teams in the bottom half of the table. Have no idea how that compares to anyone else! No idea where you are getting your numbers there, looks like you are looking at calendar years rather than seasons. He scored 25 in his last season at Everton, coupled with 18 the season before and 17 when on loan at West Brom. Not saying I would have him back either but the slander the bloke gets because of how he's ended up is crazy.

He dese4rves the majority of it for his attitude towards the club, the fans and everything Chelsea. He`s an absolute bellend with no self awareness, massive lack of class and an over inflated opinion of his own talent/importance.
October 11, 20232 yr Couldn't agree more with dkw, Lukaku may be 20th all time PL scorer but he's an all time top 3 w**ker and not in a good way! And there's no point discussing him further as he simply DIDN'T want to play for us (his "beloved" club from youth), even though he'd get a totally clean slate with Poch. Anyways, Nico... hopefully he will be ready to go against Arsenal with a good 2 week rest! Excited for how he improves along the season.

He's still a w**ker 😁
October 11, 20232 yr I couldn't care if Lukaku was the best striker in the world and scored a 100 goals a year, the bloke is a complete tosser and I don't want him anywhere near the team. The hatred aimed towards him is absolutely necessary.

Just pointing out that those dismissing his ability are wide of the mark. Granted he thinks he's way better than he actually is, but to think he hasn't been good/great at times in his career is crazy.

October 11, 20232 yr I see he’s at it again with plans to talk about what happened in the summer. No doubt it will all be Chelsea/Juve/Inters fault with no blame attached to him whatsoever. I said at the time we shouldn’t have signed him. It was never going to work. We went for Haaland, Dortmund said no, so we sign Lukaku instead. Utter madness with Tuchel at the heart of it.

He gets slandered because of the way he is and how his inflated opinion of himself doesn't match the performances on the pitch. Yes he's a good scorer for clubs like Everton and West Brom but the fact is he's not good enough for clubs with expectations to win stuff, and before anyone mentions Inter, that's an outlier under a coach who made Nicolas Bentdner and Victor Moses Champions. Unlike @Victor90I actually would put up with this crap he offered hard substance (and I'm not just talking goals and assists), just like I'd forgive the fact he wasn't good enough if he knuckled down and put in the hard yards Gallagher does. To lack performance AND good character is unforgivable.

It's really taken me by surprise how quickly he seems to be adapting to the prem. Obviously he's had some less than stellar moments, like the yellows for dissent. But the way he's started using his arms to shield the ball from defenders, and his movement in the box (particularly for the goal against Burnley), I was expecting those kind of improvements to take 6-8 months, not 6-8 weeks
