i was just reading that he might miss the start of the season.  Anybody know how 'serious' this one is?

I only read they are hoping he will be ready for pre-season.

Missing the start of the season I feel might be a bit dramatic for a sprain.

I really hope it's just a sprain though.

Well a sprain could be anything from an overstretched to a completely torn ligament. If they're saying its serious then it could be a grade 2 or 3 injury which could take a couple of months. Just got to hope he doesn't need surgery, which i assume he doesn't or we'd know by now, or that's half a year you're missing.

That's kind, I await his report!

He'll fall over his feet getting up, give himself concussion, be heard to mutter: "Where's Amsterdam?".

He can phone in his findings from the floor. IF he's not too busy connecting with a random porn star.

Judging by the tent in his shorts he might already have.

Young striker who did well in his first season being rewarded with an extension.

Are we just pretending to be upset for every news related to Chelsea now?

Not even pretending for the most part. Default option around here: negative.

I'd have liked him to have performed this season to make sure last year wasnt a flash in the pan. Like Jackson immensely so hope the improved terms mean extra effort for the cause... and to bury the easy chances and one on ones. Fingers crossed for 20+ league goals, think he has it in him.

No-ones pretending.

Some may see a young striker who "did well". Others see a player who is far from convincing and not a player they see leading the line for a PL side with ambitions, so don't see a need for a new & improved contact at this stage.

As always, it's all about opinions.....................

Now I know the owners are not of sound mind.

Who is gonna break the news to @nonotnowjim?!!

This makes me a sad panda…

….I do sometimes wonder if it is all worth it. I mean….if wacko gets a new contact and stays here, whats the point of carrying on? What is this world coming to? A very dark day in the nonotnowjim house.
