I think cotton body is the word that you are looking for. It is very hard to introduce young st in PL.

The amount of seasoned big money strikers we've had that have struggled to even land 10 goals in a season don't pick up half as much flak as this 21 year old that's stuck 17 in the onion bag in his first season in such a dysfunctional team.

I miss the days when 21 year old's were still considered raw and not expected to be the finished article straight away, no wonder so many players break down mentally and physically these days.

We have created a lot of chances..Jackson has had about 50 and missed nearly all of them, a half decent striker would score loads more given all those chances

What half decent striker is scoring these chances and costing £30m?

I said it the first time i saw him play, he reminds me very much of a young Drogba, even down to the petulance that got him so many yellow cards early on, and even argueing over taking a penalty. I firmly believe he WILL become a superstar striker eventually. For his age and first season in Premier league football, and being asked to lead the line for the whole season, without a viable back up, i think he's done a fantastic job. He will improve and get better, he will learn from his mistakes. And don't forget he missed lots of good chances, but fewer than Haarland, does that mean Haarlands sh*t as well.

In a world of 8 billion people, I do not believe that Nicolas Jackson is the only person who would cost less than £30m and score 17 out of god knows how many chances.

It is our scouts and recruitment teams jobs to find them.

Jackson was, more often than not, a hinderance to the team. He broke down attacks - time and time again - by his lack of ability, vision or brain.  Yes he scored 17 goals. i applaud him for that. But again, more often than not he hurt us.

I am jumping on a plane to Saudi Arabia today - i might actually use the flight time to do some digging on how many of nicos goals were important? i.e opening goals, winning goals. etc. In my mind, i dont remember too many genuine winning goals- the one against forest sticks out. I am sure there were more, i just can't remember them!

I would take Haaland over Jackson. As I am sure almost every football manager in the world would. That probably answers your question.

Jackson is rubbish. Haaland is an elite goal scorer. Jackson hindered and broke down our attack on so so so many occasion. The fact you are comparing them is odd.

Haaland would also cost you £250m plus £800k a week in wages.

Please apply some context. Jackson is a cheap 21 year old that isn't on massive wages that has come in for his first season to lead the line in a highly dysfunctional squad.

He's got a better goal return than the majority of big money strikers we had in actual CL winning teams.

He can carry the ball better than the majority of strikers in this league. Sure he's a bit rough around the edges but he's twenty f**king one. I've never seen so many people sh*t themselves about a player that was likely signed as a back up option that still managed to notch nearly 20 goals whilst going to AFCON mid season.

He cost a fraction of what we paid for Havertz and is a huge upgrade, how can people be crying about this lmao

It wasn't me who started the comparison to Haaland - I was just responding to it.

He is not anywhere near an upgrade on Havertz.

I think that's a bit far. As a striker he is an upgrade on Havertz, with Harvetz obviously being the better player.

I don't think Jackson will ever become a top striker, he's basically learning on the job with this being his first full season as a striker but he's got the natural movement, etc down enough to a point where he can become a solid top 4 striker in the future. I just don't see him leading his team to a title though.

Oh do shut up.

Havertz best league return was 8 goals. Worse shooting accuracy than Jackson, less assists, less expected assists, less shot creating actions, less success take ons, tackled nearly twice as much as Jackson when trying to take a man on. The only metric Kai wins on is heading and that's still sh*t in comparison to an elite player.

i understand you might not like the lad but you're quite simply wrong.

Jackson has been a great bit of business, still young and a long way to go but a useful player to have in the squad whether he develops or not.

Clients are taking a back seat until Chelsea hire a new manager, too many people on ShedEnd to disagree with to pay any attention to work.

CLIENT: "How's the spreadsheet looking?"

UB: "Ignorant twats are bagging Jackson".

CLIENT: "Pardon?"

LONG PAUSE

UB: "Biz speak. Keep up".

Now now - we are all entitled to opinions,  but let’s keep it civil.

I have been perfectly clear in accepting that my dislike of Jackson is likely (seen as) irrational and over exaggerated.

But the sum of his sh*t play, brain dead arguing, lack of vision, stupid hair cuts, creepy begging for naked photos from some only fans tart, and his ugly face - all add up to mean that he is the Chelsea player that I have disliked the most - possibly ever - but certainly for a very long time. That is my prerogative, and I stand by it.

I would take Kai over him - who I think is a much better footballer. Kai also scored the winner to bag us the UCL, and generally went about his business at Chelsea with class and a minimum of fuss - all of which endear him to me. Kai playing a leading role in an arsenal championship challenge further reinforces my convictions that he is an all around better player - whatever the stats may or may not say.

It is all irrelevant though - as I would genuinely take any other player over Jackson. I believe that if you play  or Baddy up front, and gave them the same chances that Jackson had, that either of them would be equal to - or higher than- nico in the goal scoring ranks. Jackson is more often than not a hinderance to our play.

No need to reply or tell me to shut up - if you like Jackson, good for you - I can respect that.  Me. - I think he is sh*t.

But that was the beauty of Timo - it didn't make any difference if he was inside or offside - he didn't discriminate, and would miss from wherever he was.

Such a lovely boy.

And just to show what how fair-minded he is, he's missing them at Spurs too. Fair-minded lovely boy.
