Posted August 28, 20231 yr Multiple press reports we are possibly in for him. Hes got something about him I reckon.
August 28, 20231 yr Behind the pecking order of Odegaard, Havertz, and Vieira and costs £43million. Yeah. Pass.

August 28, 20231 yr So long as we're not in for Richarlatan. Three major reasons. 1.Tottenham have finally sussed that he is complete sh*te. 2. He is a right moody git. 3. He has a comedy nose. Edited August 28, 20231 yr by just
August 28, 20231 yr Author I get the fact he’s not getting games but Arteta not rating him isn’t the be all and end all. He swapped Tierney for Zinchenko at left back which baffles me. Zinchenko is a centre mid. He’s so poor at left back. He also signed Havertz in a similar role that Smith Rowe plays. I’d honestly have him before Havertz Wasnt Smith Rowe a Chelsea youth?

August 28, 20231 yr He was one of Arsenal's top scorers in 2021/22 season but last season he lost his place to Martinelli I think. Seems to be out of favour there.

August 28, 20231 yr He is a decent player but no chance as Arsenal will look to get most of the Havertz money back

August 28, 20231 yr He lost his place following his long injury. Maybe he hasn’t come back the same player? I thought he was class two seasons ago. Better goal threat than Mount Edited August 28, 20231 yr by Adamrb

August 28, 20231 yr I think the new signing is going to be largely underwhelming whoever he is. Pretty clear we're merely looking for a placeholder till Christo returns who will then serve as medium/long term depth across the front line.
August 28, 20231 yr We already have enough injury prone players so personally not a fan of this transfer
August 28, 20231 yr Not a bad option, as long as he is fit to play. It will be a blow to Arsenal if he's sold to us, as he's a proven player in their system.

I usually listen to fan reactions when it comes to stuff like this, and in fairness, a lot of Arsenal fans do not want this to happen. They're not happy that Arteta has frozen him out, especially considering Havertz has come into the mix and isn't hitting the ground running.
August 29, 20231 yr This is an interesting one. Given we seem to be after a winger/no.10 then I can see why he might fit the profile we’re looking for. His strengths are he holds the ball well, can run at a defence, and is a good finisher. Add to that he’s Premier League proven so won’t need to adjust. Seen some doubts as he’s had injury issues in the past, notably a long-standing groin injury which they addressed with an operation last season. Seems to be fit atm. Arsenal will probably try and recoup the Havertz money so will probably ask for a premium if they’re going to sell to us.
August 29, 20231 yr Wouldn't want to pay much over £30m for the lad. He's way down the pecking order at Arse and has barely played in a year.

Although they openly said there would be a premium for Chelsea if we wanted Balogun. One price for us and one for others. Although I quite like him I just don't want to give Arteta any money, especially money over what the guy is worth.
