As long as he doesn't buy into his own hype. If possible, hope he stays like this in his tenure with us, aloof and only care about the things on the pitch. If guys like Ronaldinho/Neymar had his attitude, they'd be Ballon D'Or winners consistently

Behave re Ronaldinho ;-) - he was something else, a brilliant player. Stuff he did on a football pitch hasn't been replicated even by Messi, sure he's won it all and is a GOAT... But Ronaldinho... next level imo and was the curtain raiser for Messi at Barcelona. Won it all too... absolute legend.

What I'm saying is we could have seen even more greatness from Ronaldinho if he wasn't addicted to the nightlife as much as he did.

Can hold my hands up. As a player, I wanted him and liked him. I have voiced that when City played Arsenal in the CS and he scored an outstanding goal. I thought unreal talent, however thought he would get chances at City. This was before they had Doku. He looked like he would get chances there. But in terms of Palmer, funny I remember we were linked with ESR and there is a post I mentioned where I would prefer Palmer to Smith-Rowe. Lucky we chose Palmer and City let Palmer go. I was surprise at the time that City let go of Palmer. Especially because he looked good in their CS and Super Cup game. I don't think it's fair for anybody to go back and call out posts that were either against or worried about the move for Palmer. This was at the height of us making some really stupid signings for a bunch of kids that were never going to work out.

And tbf, I can't remember many people being against the Palmer signing at the time despite all the sh*t signings we were making. Most of us on here wanted him, City at the time had just won everything and looked unstoppable, of course he was going to struggle to get game time there.

Signing Palmer was actually a very bad idea at that time. We had so many raw player in the team, adding a rookie attacker for team

People were more annoyed at a) the fee and b) faffing about over Michael Olise - imagine if we got him in tandem

Has any player ever exceeded expectation as much as Cole Palmer?

I knew about him and had seen clips and thought he looked good and was happy for him to join us but never in a million years expected him to be as good as he has been. We were being linked with Smith-Rowe as the same time and I was equally happy for him to join us!

I know it's been said countless times but the lad is an absolute joy to watch. He plays football how we all used to try and play when we were 10/11 in the playground or over the park with our mates. He makes things look so easy and that is such a great talent to have. We have had so many young players who had so much potential and there were such high hopes for but for whatever reason, they just couldn't cut it. There are such fine margins but thankfully in Cole Palmer, we have an absolute Gem.

All Amorim had to do was watch a Scotland game or two.

He proved he could play the 10 role against some top class opposition. Utd played him far too deep.
