Yes, and that’s what is happening. I’m not going to watch CFC LDN every week, not travelling to away games, and is rapidly dropping down the list of things I enjoy doing. If I still go to some home games is to meet up with the people I go to games to.

Chelsea used to fly a couple of U14s in from Norway to make sure that they didn't breach the distance and time rules for youth players. We played against them. Its nothing new.

Any further details on this? I assume they were flown in/out sporadically, not every single day for training. An 8 hour round trip every day to your work place is insane and unrealistic.

There was always rumours that they were breaking the rules and apparently they were flying a couple of lads in to City airport on a regular basis (i am not sure if it was all training sessions or a selection). If my memory serves that were big technically decent players for the age group. You hear and see these things. Lots of rumours that might have a whiff of BS about them, but also no smoke without fire, i suppose. Similar types of rumours (not flights of course) surrounding Beckham when Man Utd came and got him from Ridgeway Rovers.

This has taken a strange turn. The point i was making was that homesickness didn't seem to hold much creedence for me when it was tweeted as his roots are only in Manchester. For example my offshore team commute 400 miles to work, stay the week and only go home at weekends.

You need more than one quality player in the side who can cause the opposition problems. To rely on Estevao alone would be putting huge pressure on an 18 year olds shoulders.

Up here in Scotland many west coast based players play for east coast clubs but some clubs are now imposing the rule that players must live within a certain radius of the club because of the time sitting in a car each way to and from training.

It was found that sitting in a car for 2 hours after training or a match was causing injuries and slowing down the recovery process.

Not a chance Palmer would be allowed to commute.

Great to see him back. Exciting to have Palmer and Estevao on the pitch, and an in form striker ahead of them. Takes a little pressure off the defense.

His pass to Pedro looked so simple but was beautiful in its simplicity, first time ball opens up the defence completely putting Pedro in some space.

Needs to just get the surgery and write this season off.

He’s a shadow of the player he was under Poch.

No point prioritising a ‘World Cup’ year in a position he’s probably 4th choice currently?
