Can’t wrap my head why he is hell bent on playing a CB as a LB with 3 LBs on the bench. I know City & Arsenal use that system but you have to invert the 1 full back next to your DM and use 2 interior playmakers, but he isn’t doing neither. 
Oh and he keeps playing Enzo as a “10” which he isn’t, he is a prime reason why we are slow in transition becos Gallagher doesn’t have the skill set to play long passes or switch the ball quickly to the flanks.

I don’t see any issue with the back 4 he’s going for consistency and what he sees in training. He’s avoiding chopping and changing just stick with the line up so they build some chemistry.

this is a back 3 when attacking and 4 when defending

Gallagher situation is weird.

- Club has been trying to get rid of Gallagher for the past 2 windows. 

- Club has publicly stated they value Gallagher financially and not with his football ability.

- Poch hasn't dropped him/subbed him off and has made him captain 2 weeks running. 

 

What is going on?

Poch is killing his supporters fairly quickly. It’s an obviously unpopular lineup, but if we get a result I’ll briefly shut up. I started with a very open mind  and I can live with the results if I understood the plan but as it is he is rapidly losing me.

I totally agree with you...

He just won’t drop Silva. I can live with Gallagher instead of Palmer and an unfit caicedo over Lesley I guess but Chilwell. Nah.

Pochettino with another of his ass line ups. No Chilwell at LB, probably because he likes to get forward and it confuses the attackers 😐

Bet he plays Enzo in attacking midfield again and Gallagher CM, when it should be the other way around.

I would sooner drops Disasi than I would Silva. Until these CB's show they can defend consistently without making a big error every game, Silva will continue to start every game.

Line up is fine but don’t understand Chilwell being benched.

Someone posted a theory that Poch wants a min of 5 players on the pitch with good aerial ability.

Probably our matches are being fixed. Gallagher is probably the least technically in that team, yet he starts, he is even the captain.

So far Enzo has shows he is not able to play the 10 role. Did Palmer just trade Cities bench for ours?

As Jackson said, Mudryk gets no support in this system, and his confidence is shot already.

Starting Caicedo is a big risk imo.
